Detoxing and Fasting with Juicing

Fresh vegetable juice is an abundant foundation for enzymes and antioxidants. Recent studies have shown that with the rise in cost for healthcare, medication, and inflation an increasing number of people are becoming more reliant on alternative natural ways to prevent and cure disease. The components found in vegetable juice assist in improving the body's overall metabolic process and purging of other open radicals, for example a juice fast or juice for detoxing might help to relieve the body of poisonous or incurable pollutants.

Health Effects of Juicing

Some medical practitioner's heavily emphasize the utilization of juicing for serious illnesses as a part of their regime because of the substantial levels of proper nutrition people obtain. According to research reports, there isn't any scientific evidence supporting the notion that extracting juices is more beneficial for health than the consumption of the fresh fruit or vegetable itself, however the nutrients assimilated from juicing fresh fruits and vegetables have been recognized for their ability to improve the immune system and get rid of ailments.

Juicing is considered the safest form of self-medication because it is impossible to have an overdose from it. Even still, consumers are strongly encouraged to seek medical advice before using detoxing or juice fasting as a form of medication.

What is a Juicing Diet?

Is Juicing a Healthy Diet?

A juicing diet means that you rely on juicing fruits and veggies for most of your food intake. What is juicing? Juicing is the act of extracting fruit or vegetable tissue during the process of removing pure juice. Taking in vegetable juice has become an increasingly common phenomenon among the public. Close examiners have reported that the body benefits more from the absorption of the extracted nutrients due to the fact that energy is not being disbursed during the digestion process.

Is Juicing for Your Health Good?

The vast majority of the people who surveyed reported to having a poor eating diet over the course of several years and had developed an impaired digestive system over the course of those years.

According to recent study reports, the body has the ability to absorb a larger quantity of nutrients through juicing, ultimately resulting in a boost to the digestive system. Some researchers argue that juicing is much healthier than consuming whole foods such as fruits and vegetables alone. Juicing helps the body to ingest the optimal amount of fruits and veggies in an efficient manner with little to no difficulty. For example, some people may find that eating many vegetables on a daily basis as opposed to just drinking the juice from vegetables can be challenging.

The body can more easily absorb nutrients from vegetable and fruit juices than eating them whole. Such nutritional elements as enzymes, phytochemicals, vitamins A, C, and E along with minerals like iron, copper, potassium, sodium, and magnesium are trapped in the cellulose and can be released from juicing. In fact your body can assimilate those nutrients within 15 minutes compared to an hour or more if you were to just eat those veggies and fruits whole. So juicing is easier on your digestive system and allows your body to rest as it were which is also very beneficial for detoxifying and fasting.

Juicing also allows the body to absorb all of the nutrients found in fruits and vegetables because it assists with the pre-digestive process, ultimately resulting in consumption of most of the nutrition; reduction in the risks of cancer; and boosts in the immune system.

Juicing fresh fruit and veggies provides the body with a large supply of vital nutrients that would be otherwise or are often neglected in daily diets. Further studies have indicated that juicing assists with weight loss and the body's removal of contaminants. Other proposed benefits of juicing and detoxing include aid in removing toxins from the body, desired weight loss, a thorough cleansing of the body's digestive system, assistance with the process of restoration, rapid weight loss, and prevention of toxins that could potentially cause disease.

Blending Vegetables Vs Eating Whole Foods Vs Juicing

What are the health benefits of blending versus just eating whole fruits and vegetables or juicing?

Contrary to juicing, blending or making smoothies combines all of the desired ingredients as a whole, leaving all of the fiber and pulp intact. Fiber plays an essential role in dieting and has proven to significantly decrease the risk of both diabetes and heart disease. Individuals who blend their food as opposed to juicing it tend to consume sugar at much slower rates. Also if you choose to blend your veggies and fruits instead of juicing them then you will have more choices of food to eat because there are just some fruits and vegetables that don't juice well such as bananas and avocados. Another thing to consider is that some ingredients such as flax seeds and dry herbs are easier to add to blended smoothie drinks than juices.

Although blending vegetables can be used as a tool to increase the amount of fruits and veggies in a diet, there isn't enough evidence supporting the notion that making fruit and vegetable smoothies should be used as a replacement for eating whole foods, fruits, and vegetables on a regular basis.

The Dangers of Juicing

What type of person would juicing and blending be better for? Juicing is to the advantage of the average healthy individual. People who are suffering from a chronic illness or who are taking prescription medication are strongly advised to consult with a medical practitioner before partaking in a juicing or bending diet.

While researchers argue that juicing is a useful tool for treating ailments as serious as cancer, other studies have shown that ingesting fruit or vegetable juice in large quantities while undergoing chemotherapy can actually work against the medication.

How does this work?

Chemotherapy or other medicine might be recognized as a "toxin" and as a result, may greatly alter the body's natural process in terms of metabolizing the ingested medicine.

Which is Better, Blending Vegetables or Juicing?

Blending Vegetables Versus Juicing

Now this was a tough dilemma for me and my wife because we were torn as to either buy a Vitamix blender or get a Breville juicer. But in the end we decided focusing on juicing rather than blending veggies for smoothies. With the exception of preserving the nutrients found inside of raw food, juicing enables each individual to receive nourishment from the fresh produce in larger amounts than simply chewing alone.

I rely on blended drinks to get extra servings of fresh fruits and vegetables quickly without having to do a lot of cooking, chopping, steaming, baking, or peeling. I can add a handful of chopped frozen spinach to any fruit smoothie; that simple move adds nutrient density without strong flavor, plus a full serving of vegetables immediately first thing in the morning.
