Legal Natural Narcotic Effect Pain Relief Benefits Well Being

Updated on December 26, 2008

Suffer no longer Painfully or Financially

Well what I am going to be writing about here is a plant which is indigeonous to Thailand but is currently illegal there. It is actually up there with the likes of opium, heroin and cocaine. This herb is legal in united states and various other countries around the world but as far as I have researched it is illegal in Delaware, Missourri and Louissiana.

Kratom is the number 1 pain releif for millions of sufferers all over the world and can be used as a stimulant in small doses or a relaxant/Major pain releif in large doses. Large doses have been reported to give the effects of morphine and others have reported the effects of opium. If you have a physical job and just need a little umpppphhh this certainly does the trick in small doses and is far superior to any energy drink especially with the cost. This is a great herb unknown to most people in western countries and is easily found available on the internet available in all sizes and potencies. The best type of Kratom available is Maeng Da or otherwise known as pimps kratom in the powdered form because you need very little to take as per the other grades of kratom.

Kratom is beneficial to the body:

Lowers Blood Pressure

Lowers Cholesterol Levels

Lowers Blood/Sugar Levels

Anti Oxidant

Anti Viral

The cost of this product is great compared to if you had to go to a doctor and then buy your prescription. Even better if you don't have insurance. It is even cheaper to those who decide to buy their pain releif on the black market.

Generally around $16 dollars will buy you an ounce of powder which is the equivalent of around 6 very high doses which will last you a little less than the time that a person is generally awake during the day around 8 hours. Its beneficial to the body and financially you're better off.

Most vendors will sell this as insense and will not give you any directions of how to take it only because this has not been approved by the FDA in the United States. There are many articles out there on how to consume this herb and I highly recommend it. Kratom is currently on the FDA list to illegilise this but not in the near future.

I know the cheapest place to buy this on the internet so please comment and let me know if you would like some recommendation.

This is the best pain releiver/relaxant available that doesent make you sick. I highly recommend this to anybody.

I am interested in this product if it is legal... I have chronic daily pain from fibromyalgia and neuropathy and weekly migraines. I take 120mg of morphine everyday but my doctor was fired from the office so I'm in the process Of finding a new doctor. Because I have no doctor I ave not been able to get my morphine for 35 days now... I have been in bed suffering everyday and I can't do anything about it. I'm tired of living like this and Im not able to work anymore. I need something to control my pain because the medical group here has left me to suffer and denied my meds because I don't have a doctor anymore. Please help me. I can't be like this for the rest of my life. Where can I get this stuff? I can hardly move... :+(

Nice write up. You are right, the only risk of using a kratom is falling asleep for too long so its advisable not to use power tools or climb ladders while under the influence of kratom. Be careful not to leave a pot on a lit stove because you might fall asleep.

I've never tried Kratom before, I have chronic pain as well as anxiety, I was wondering which one is recommened? And I would prefer the capsule form, is that potent enough?

I would like to comment on the statement, "it doesn't make you sick at all". The stuff is an emetic which for those who don't know what that is, it means it makes you vomit. A very well known emetic, to give you a clear picture of what I mean, is ipecac. Now, its not severe enough that it will always make you sick. For the most part its dose dependent and the way you consume it plays some roll. If taken in capsules, it shouldn't bother you too much unless you take a considerable amount. If you drink its as a tea, do NOT drink it too fast! This is strictly for tea because the alkaloids have dispersed into the water so the emetic effect will antagonize your stomach everywhere. If you're doing a toss and wash, its the same as capsules unless the taste/smell really bothers you. Then you'll be more likely to feel nauseous and/or vomit as it will stick to everything on it way down, continuing to bother you. As for legalities and pricing, keep up to date with the dea's anouncements and such as its already a drug of concern and is being looked at as the next bath salts/spice product to deal with. Shipping large quantities can result in confiscation of your order and a letter showing up saying you need a license to buy/possess/ship that much. Though I've only heard of that on a 5kg order, still be aware of what you are doing, what you're planning on doing, and what the federal government may think you're doing. Do not abuse the stuff. I agree with the dea that it is of concern, but I also agree that it has tremendous effect on wide varieties of pain. Just research the plant, research your condition thoroughly, look up a bit about biology and medicine, and some stuff about its chemistry. Formulate an opinion and talk to someone to see if it would be sane and worthwhile. I say talk to someone because its easy to look at the good and ignore the bad which might leave you making a bad decision.

Kratom has helped me tremendously with my chronic pain and has given me my "get up and go" back. I usually get my Kratom from The owner's customer service is top notch and everything comes in a discreet professional package.

      Keep in mind these things:

      - White strain is generally for energy. (Such as White Vein Borneo)

      - Green strains tend to be in the middle of the road on everything and are usually used in blends to extend the effects. (Such as Green Malaysian)

      - Red strains are usually the best for anyone suffering from pain. These are also the most sedating. (Such as Red Vein Borneo or Bali.)

The benefits of this plant are simply tremendous. It has brought up my immunity and I haven't had a UTI since incorporating this as a supplement into my vitamin regiment.

Hope this bit of info helped.

      Be well!

Its nothing like morphine. If you take enough, you get a vert short, mild opiate buzz, and if you take any more than that, you get shaky and nauseous. To say its up there with even rx narcotics is ridiculously overinflated.

Although it mimics opiate-like effects, it doesn't contain any opiates, so it doesn't show up on any drug screen panels.

After several months of taking Bali Kratom, with no changes in my diet, my HDL cholesterol (the good cholesterol) went from 35 to 58, my LDL cholesterol (the bad cholesterol) dropped over 50 points, and my triglyceride level went from 188 to 105.

I've been having my cholesterol levels checked since 2004, and these recent levels are by far the best I've had in the past 8 years. The doctor told me..."Keep doing whatever it is you're doing."

I take Kratom about 5 times a day...every day. In addition to the benefits to my cholesterol and triglyceride levels, my mood is enhanced and I have an increased energy level.

This stuff is like a wonder leaf.

The vendor mentioned by WebShack in the post above is also the one I use.

These folks are mentioning some of the most ridiculously high prices I've heard of! For the BEST price, AND the best all-around strain (and quality) of kratom, Google "bouncing bear green vein borneo". I've been ordering 1/4 LB. for exactly $33 including shipping. If you're addicted to hydrocodone, (lortab and vicodin are BOTH hydrocodone), the Green Vein Borneo strain of kratom will take its place, and you'll suffer ZERO withdrawal effects. Also, you can avoid 90% of hydrocodone withdrawal symptoms by taking 6-8 Imodiums, (or its generic), every six to eight hours. The constipation will be much LESS than what the hydrocodone causes, and you will barely suffer at all.

Back to the kratom... the effects of the "Green Vein Borneo" strain are the absolute best for moderate to severe pain. If, like me, the 'tabs or 'vikes have just stopped helping your pain very much - this strain will STEP RIGHT IN and ease that pain, as well as -smoothly- taking the place of hydrocodone. You owe it to yourself to at least TRY it. Research kratom a little, and you'll find out that there's virtually NO downside or risk, at least compared to the "big pharma" alternatives.

If you use the correct dosage of kratom, you can even break free of HEROIN. This stuff should STAY legal FOREVER. It doesn't have the harsh "buzz" of the narcotics, but it WILL replace them entirely and EASILY. If you decide to try the Green Vein Borneo from Bouncing Bear - 3-4 grams is the perfect starting dose. Although you CAN become somewhat addicted to kratom if you're not careful, the withdrawals are SO much less severe.

For anyone who is brave enough to take the Kratom path to break free of the opiates - it CAN and WILL give you your life back.

I have been on cholesterol meds for years, and since I started eating Kratom daily, my levels have improved very very much. Helps control my appetite (plus keep weight in check), and I feel it improves my quality of life overall, as it helps fine-tune my head a bit as well.

It's not all peaches and cream when you get to the point where you are eating it daily though. (this next part may NOT be taken out of context! Consider the positives!) Stopping abruptly will cause me to have cold/flu like symptoms (runny nose, headache) along with some irritability, insomnia, and restless legs at night. Annoying, yes. Not severe, as it passes after a few days without use. People who want to argue that Kratom is bad because of these negative side effects should try getting off antidepressants (prescribed on a whim it seems). Hold the Effexor, Prozac, Paxil... I will stick to Kratom, thanks.

Been eating it for a couple years on a regular basis, so I am speaking from at least some experience.

By the way, to the people who are paying $50 for small amounts- It's possible to buy 500g of Premium Commercial Bali Kratom for around $100. You're paying way too much, and I am willing to bet the quality is inferior.

      J. Manning's post is pretty solid info too.

I prefer to use kratom over narcotic prescription drugs, mainly because I don't like to support big pharma and would rather go the natural route. It is not that cheap, though. I usually buy it online when I have the money but the shipping on even a small amount brings the price up to like $50. And on Long Island the only place to buy it is a "head shop," which charges $30 for one dose.

We can get Kratom direct from the source nowadays. Since Kratom is a native tree from Asia, it would be great if you get your Kratom powder direct from the seller there. You will get the fresh product that you can use to reduce pain by drinking it together with your tea.

To add to my post above - words of caution:

      * Start out small - you don't know how your body will tolerate Kratom, so start out with the minimal recommended dosage as per your brand (Thai, Bali, Malaysia, etc) -- you'll have to find info online.

      * Even from the same vendor, strengths can differ between shipments - don't assume that each batch will be the same in regards to strength. Reputable vendors may try to normalize things, but this plant is not regulated, and most of the time it's not promoted as something for human consumption.

      * If getting powder, 'cap' it - the stuff tastes horrible -- it tastes nearly as bad as Valerian Root smells. Some people take it with Orange Juice to mask some of the taste, but if you're going to use it regularly, buy a capping machine (ebay or Amazon), a cheap scale (ebay), and gel caps (various online stores). It'll be worth the hassle and extra expense.

For pain relief, choose 'premium commercial' or Bali -- they're the same thing. At least I've found this to be the best. Usually, I take 3.5-4.5 grams per dose as needed. Whenever needed. Premium commercial is usually 'active' at around 2 grams, depending on the vendor. For the pain relief, though, you need to take a bit more than the minimum threshold, otherwise you just get a positive energy boost. However, like all pain relievers (prescription or otherwise), you can get a 'rebound' headache with Kratom (don't take too much too often).

I've been using it for a year regularly -- 2-6 times per day. It's similar to Vicodin, and there's cross-tolerance there. It also has similar pain relief effects, though I haven't ventured past 5 grams. For me, it causes:

      Dehydration / constipation

      Dependence (physical and psychological)

Mood swings (I'm moody anyway, but... it's there)

Eye focus problems (limited, but maybe I'm just used to it)

Headaches (certain vendors' products increased my pain rather than alleviating it -- I buy one place now, and their product works for me.)

Withdrawal is quite mild, similar to a Vicodin withdrawal in nature with the intensity of a caffeine withdrawal (words from Wikipedia, but very true, though the restless leg is wicked for me -- far worse than Vicodin).

I'm comparing it to Vicodin because that's what I've always used to deal with my pain, up to 120 pills per month. While it is used (by some) to mitigate opiate withdrawal, it's not a good 'high' drug -- people addicted to narcotic pain pills won't get much of anything out of it, if anything. Again, there's a cross tolerance -- narcotics abusers won't feel anything because some of the actives in Kratom hit the same brain centers as Hydro/Vicodin, etc -- except with a huge dose, which can be very dangerous.

I built up tolerance quite quickly, but maybe that's because I've been fed pain pills for years. Though, at least for me, it's not like narcotic pain pills where you have to increase your dose due to tolerance -- I've been taking the same dosage (grams per dose) of this since I started. I don't feel the effects as much / at all, but I sure know it's working.

It's not perfect, but it's been working for me. It's cheap, it's legal in a lot of places, and it's been used for a long, long time by a lot of people -- it's apparently generally safe. If you have chronic pain, it may be worth considering. There may be interactions with other drugs though, so talk to somebody knowledgeable (a lot of pain doctors know about it, for instance) before starting any herbal supplements or self medicating, especially with Kratom.

      Interesting article,

You state, " it is illegal in Delaware, Missourri and Louissiana" How do you reason that?
