Is life an emergency?

Updated on May 7, 2016

So many people believe that life is a battlefield where only the stronger wins and prevails. They get to work from the moment they get up till evening. They have no time left neither for themselves nor for their relatives. As a result, many have lost both themselves and their families .They work all the day long as if someone was pointing a gun at their heads. Some of them keep complaining That they are short of time. As a result, they steal some hours from their sleep time. Most of these people regularly see doctors who prescribe them anti-anxiety medicine.

Although many fellows hold the belief that life is an emergency, the truth is it is not. People who are thinking that life is an emergency should be reminded that they are going to die one day and they won’t take anything with them. Elbert Hubbard said “Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive”.

So, why don’t we stop taking life too seriously? Yes, we have to work and earn money to feel safe and secure, but we don’t have to forget having fun along the way, spending time with our loved ones and doing the things our hearts crave.

The first step towards becoming a peaceful individual is to be humble enough to admit that you are complicating your life and making small things look bigger. It is very useful to remind yourself that even if things don’t go according to your plans, life will go on and nothing will change.
