One of the least desirable aspects of being overweight, even slightly, is that ugly, bulging ring of belly fat. You can't get away from that bulging ring of flab - all you can do is try to hide it!

For beverages, water and green tea are recommended and coffee is allowed.

This is a one day diet plan, which can help the average individual lose between 3 1/2 to 4 pounds. Breakfast consists of 1/2 cup of fat free yogurt, plus 1/2 cup of berries with a small touch of ginger, washed down with 10 oz of water and a cup of green tea.

Mid-morning Snack, is 15 unsalted, raw almonds, 10 oz water and another cup of green tea.

Lunch is 3 oz of broiled chicken (plain), with 3 cups of salad, including 1/2 tomato, romaine lettuce and a half of a green pepper and lastly, oil and vinegar dressing. All finished off with 10 oz of water and a cup of coffee (black).

Afternoon snack consists of one hard boiled egg, 6 baby carrots, 10 oz of water and one cup of coffee (black)

Supper is a delicious 4 oz portion of salmon glazed with 1/2 tbsp olive oil, dill and lemon, 2 cups steamed spinach, 1/2 cup baked sweet potato, followed by 10oz water and a cup of green tea.

Evening snack is 10 almonds and 1/2 cup yogurt and 10 oz water.

This diet not only facilitates rapid weight loss but is effective in trimming the belly as well. It can be used for longer periods of time if desired, and combined with a routine exercise plan can lead to a slim and trim body come summer time.

Using and substituting the following foods in your day to day diet will enhance and promote the loss of belly fat and weight loss in general. These are belly fat wonder foods and guarantied to help fight the "battle of the bulge."

Exercise is important. It doesn't have to be rugged and physically rigorous, but it does need to get you up off the couch and away from the lure of recreational eating. Find an exercise program that complements your lifestyle and daily routine. Even taking the dog out for a daily walk will do wonders for both of you.
