What is Reishi or Ling Zhi Mushroom?
Red Reishi (Ganoderma Lucidum), commonly known as Ling Zhi in Chinese, is a herbal mushroom known to have miraculous health benefits.
Reishi has been used in Japan and China for over 2,000 years. It is the oldest mushroom known to have been used as medicine. Since ancient times, the mushroom was reserved for emperors and royalties and has been revered as nature’s rarest and most beneficial herb. In the Superior category of Shen Nung Ben Cao Jing, the oldest and most famous medical text on Oriental herbal medicine. Red reishi is ranked higher than ginseng, because of its following qualities:

I have been taking Ling Chi now for 2 weeks. I can already see and feel the benefits. I am HIV positive and suffer from leaky guts do to a weakened immune system. Both of my two brothers take the drink. They were suffering from prostate cancer and colorectal cancer.
One took radiation and the other had an operation and survived about 5 years.
I am sure you can get lemon grass in Nigeria. Cut a piece of lemon grass (about 2 inches long) and pour hot water over it.
You should also pray to God and tell Him why you should get better.

I have bought a box of 10 X 10 ml. liquid Lingzhi phials.
You drink only a phial at a time. The expiry date is on the box. The instruction does not say to keep under refrigeration.
want to know if the Lingzhi decoction can be kept and cnsumed after few days? can we keep it under refrigeration?

If I live in England (I did), I would search out in Chinatown for any Chinese Herbal store and inquire. For research, try out libraries, and internet.

No! But until I research and write, I will not comment on the other types of mushroom.
When I was young, some one brought in some mushrooms (very white and delicious) and asked whether we would try to eat them for they were unidentified and wild. Being adventurous, I volunteered to eat them. My younger sister and a relative also volunteered. I ate the most and later had stomachache and vomitted. I was hospitalized three days. Later, my sister and the relative were also admitted to hospital.
Some mushrooms are poisonous and we found out too late. It is dangerous to eat mushrooms which are wild. I had learnt a hard lesson
Is it only this particular type of mushroom that is good for you. I ask because I have heard that mushrooms we buy at the store are not good for you. Those are some scary looking mushrooms. Amazing what these mushrooms can do. Thanks for the great information.

Red Reishi is a very studied fungus with a wide variety of accepted uses. I am in disagrement with your statements of curative properties. It is no doubt highly valuble in normalizing body function pertaining to dealing with illness. It has been shown effective in aiding treatment of MANY things but not curing it all together. I found it somewhat misleading from my Herbalist point of view.

It is difficult to find Peking Lingchih Royal Jelly. My brother brought it for me some time ago. He went to the Chinese medical shops along Dundas Street and Spadina Avenue. He would not remember the shop. The other area is on Gerrard Street East and Broadview Avenue.
Maybe you can ask the shop keeper to order for you and leave a telephone number behind for him to call you. I think this is the best way. Hope you will be able to get some.

I do not know of anyone using this in conjunction with chemo.
However, I know people using LEMON GRASS DRINKS in conjunction with chemo. Lemon Grass article has quotes from Israel.
Lemon Grass is quite cheap at supermarkets, and costs under $2.00 for 6 stalks. Use about 2" long of lemon grass and cut into small pieces. Pour boiling water over it and after a while when it is cooler, drink it.
Both my brothers have prostate cancer and colorectal cancer are now in remission and both are using LEMON GRASS DRINKS every day.

I really do not know whether ling zhi cures anxiety or body weakness. You must have enough sleep, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and do not drink too much coffee (stimulant).
Tell your problems to God, doctor or someone you trust. Hope that this helps you.

I do take Peking Royal Jelly (honey) with Ling Zhi, but not many Chinese shops sell this combination. I must confess that I take it after reading about Queen Elizabeth !! only using this brand. She has the best doctors and Queen Victoria also used it. That is good enough for me.

Fortunately, I live in NYC and can pick up roducts in Chinatown. Or at Chinese markets.
When I was in Beijing I had the pleasure of visiting a real herbal museum and also 10 of us visited 4 different doctors - we were amazed at how exact the diagnosis were on all our ailments - with doctors just looking at our tongue and 3 fingers on the wrist pulse. Of course we bought herbal prescriptions which all worked.
I'm sold - we were meant to live with and respect nature. Of course we don't so we have have chronic ailments, shortened lives and painful existences.

This is probably the panacea for all illnesses. Some say that GOD creates the cure first before introducing the remedy. How true.
