Marijuana Vaporizer Helps Those Who Need Medical Marijuana

Updated on July 17, 2014

Marijuana has been around for centuries, but it was only recently that it has been legalized in the US to help with certain medical conditions such as glaucoma and cancer.

Especially in cancer cases, medical marijuana can relieve many symptoms and help create a more productive, happier life with reduced pain. However, the patient might not be able to smoke the herb in a traditional pipe or water bong. That's where marijuana vaporizers come into play.

A marijuana vaporizer works by actually capturing the vapor (the smoke) in a special bag, similar to how a balloon captures air. A simple puff on the bag gives the user a dose of marijuana in a safe and mostly non-smelly fashion. Another benefit of these vaporizers is that one can fill a bag and take puffs from it for quite a while - I've seen one last as much as 2 days in the past, depending, of course, on how many times it is used.

There's are many advantages of using marijuana from a vaporizer instead of a traditional pipe or hookah. Here's some of my favorite reasons:

  • When using a vaporizer, leftover marijuana can be recycled and used to create marijuana butter for inclusion in all types of cooking. So, even for those who do not want to partake of the herb in the traditional way, a pot brownie might be just what the doctor ordered
  • The Pot is vaporized efficiently so less is needed which means you get to keep more green in your pocket instead of in your pipe (couldn't resist - sorry)
  • Harmful toxic and carcinogenic by-products are not present in the smoke/vapor.

The vaporizer you see there to the right is one of the best on the market - Volcano. I've seen this particular model in action and it's very nice. It's also very expensive but, if you have a loved one who must use marijuana, you can't find a better gift.

Note: I am NOT suggesting the use of marijuana by anyone except those with the prescription for medical use!

Here's a few other items that you might like if you're a medical marijuana user. Note: if you buy a pot vaporizer, you might want to buy additional inflatable bags as they will pop if handled roughly.

If you grind the dope before putting it in the vaporizer, you'll use even less.

Here's a quick video showing an herbal vaporizer in action.

Where I live in the ACT in Australia (Canberra) there is a debate about legalising marijuana for medical purposes. I can't understand why it is taking politicians so long to make the right decision. You are right in airing this issue and public pressure is desperately needed to change laws.
