Benfits on Diet & Lifestyle

This life style and its benefits has been proven by the inhabitants of the Mediterranean Coasts, since they have lived this way for thousands of years. In this part of the world, it is not a "diet plan" but is the way thatmost of the population eats.

While leading healthy lives with regular exercise - mostly through work and natural activity - they enjoy a wide range of different foods including vegetables, lean meats, fish, seafood, yogurt, poultry whole grains, fruits, beans, nuts, olives, and most famously olive oil !

These naturally contain antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fibre which in turn protect against many diseases and illness.

Probably the most overlooked element is that these foods are eaten on a seasonal basis so that they are fresh and in tune with natures cycle.

Take your time

One thing to be particularly aware of is that when you provide all the nutrients that your body needs on a daily basis to work as it should, it will adjust to your new way of eating and you will reap the benefits in how you look, how you feel and how you respond.

You just need to take it gently, one day at a time, incororating more and more good choices into your daily habits until your new way of life becomes your natural choice.

And if you can add a little more exercise each day and also get a good nights sleep, this in conjunction with incorporating the Mediterranean diet into your lifestyle, will make a huge difference to your general wellbeing.

Like all things worthwhile, it will take effort but persistence will be rewarded.
