My Top 4 Favourite Vegan Healthier Chocolates!

Updated on March 27, 2016

We all need chocolate!

Whether its ordinary chocolate, or Vegan chocolate, most of us enjoy it from time to time. Being Vegan, a common misconception is that we miss out on chocolate, however this is so wrong and i think some of the best tasting chocolate is actually Vegan.

I gave some of these chocolates to my friends and they honestly said they would not be able to tell these were refined sugar free and of course Vegan, and some said they have far better flavour than normal chocolate.

Also, i hope you are aware of the health benefits of chocolate! Well, Cacao. It is packed with so many nutrients and antioxidants, and to get real health benefits it is recommended to have a floss box sized amount of 70% cocoa and upwards a day! - i am not complaining. I made another post about the health benefits of Cacao if you are interested.

These are my Top 4 Favourites you have to try if you haven't already!

1- Booja Booja truffles are INCREDIBLE!

These truffles are my go-to on christmas, birthdays, easter, whatever the occasion! I usually keep them to special occasions as they are very rich and quite pricey i would say. They are available in many different sets and flavours like Hazelnut crunch, Almond Caramel, Rhubarb & Vanilla Fool, and finally Banoffee. They also do Rum and Champagne flavoured as well.

These contain little ingredients in them making them far better for you than normal truffles. They contain the following(without other added ingredients for flavour) : Chocolate* (cocoa solids* 55%, cane sugar*, vanilla*), Coconut Oil*, (18%), Cocoa Powder*
*=organically grown ingredients.

They are Organic, Dairy Free, Gluten Free and Soya Free.

and... They taste amazing i promise!

2- Ombar

I love ANYTHING from this brand! It is raw chocolate and contains six times more flavanols than comparable chocolate brands.

'We treat our chocolate like a health food - because it is - and therefore we only use the healthiest ingredients such as unrefined coconut sugar, real fruit and live cultures'

These really are good for you, and they do plenty of incredible flavours i would never think to put with chocolate but they work so well! They even do a green tea and lemon flavour! As well as all these flavours they also do some coconut mylk buttons that are too good! The bars i have tried all taste great to.

3- Raw Halo

This chocolate is so good and it you wouldn't notice it is a healthier, Vegan version! It has such good ingredients! Them being: Raw Cacao Butter*, Coconut Sugar*, Raw Cacao Powder*, Cashew Nuts* (9%), Lucuma Powder*, Inulin Powder*, Vanilla Powder*, Pink Himalayan Crystal Salt (0.6%)., *Certified organic ingredients. Cocoa solids 64%

It is Organic, Vegan, refined sugar free, and gluten free!

The brand also sell many different flavours like Dark and Sour Cherry and salted caramel. My favourite is the pink himalayan salt flavour!

4- Montezuma's!

This one is not completely refined sugar free however it has a good amount of Cocoa content which makes it good for me- the dark being at 73% while still tasting good!
