How to Heal Yourself (Part-1)
Need of Natural Healing Therapy
Although the term ‘healing touch’ is quite commonly used by everyone, not many people know that it is within the power of any individual to become a ‘healer’. It doesn’t require any supernatural power or divine intervention to be able to exercise the power of that ‘healing touch’ which all of us are born with. All it needs is to have fully activated and balanced Chakras and a heart filled with love and compassion as a healthy heart Chakra helps us to connect with people with greater ease. As I have mentioned in my earlier series on Chakras that there are seven major Chakras in the body and two minor Chakras (in hands and feet) which regulate the flow of energy in and out of the body. Every organ in the body is associated with a Chakra which means that if any Chakra is blocked or releases inadequate energy, the organ associated with it gets affected adversely. We see so many people suffering from depression, heart aches, hurt, sleeplessness, amnesia, lack of concentration, chronic physical ailments like arthritis etc in our daily lives; the worst part is that even medical science does not seem to have a complete cure for such diseases. At best the doctors can prescribe medication for temporary relief or for preventing further deterioration which, in no way, heals a patient from the ailment; it just minimizes the intensity of the discomfort to a certain extent. This is perhaps why Alternate or Natural Therapy has been preferred over the conventional mode of treatment. The Alternate Therapy not only brings comfort to the patient but, in most cases, has proven to eradicate the symptoms of ‘dis-ease’ completely.
Some astonishing results of ‘Natural Healing’
Let me start by sharing some case studies with you in order to show how inner suffering manifests in the form of physical ailments. All these patients were cured of their physical discomfort not with the help of any medication but with the help of a ‘Healing Touch’.
1. A 45 year old woman had been suffering from arthritic pain in hands, knees and elbows for more than a year. Her medical history revealed that her son had passed away about two years ago which made her quit the job for not being able to cope with her loss. With the death of her son, she had lost all her hopes with nothing to look forward to. She developed suicidal tendencies as she felt that there was no reason for her to live. She constantly sensed a vacuum in and around her; the feeling of emptiness engulfed her and devoured her vitals. The result was that her body responded to her mental agony in the form of arthritis.
2. A 25 year old woman complained of chronic headaches accompanied with heaviness and partial blackouts. Some digging into her past revealed that she had consented to marry a boy against her wishes as she had got tired of constant nagging by her overbearing mother. The marriage turned out a nightmare for her and after six months of her marriage, she left her husband and came back to her parents' house. Even after coming back she could not get rid of her traumatic memories; headaches continued and she suffered from loss of interest, depression and total disorientation.
3. A 30 year old woman was compelled by her circumstances to quit her high profile job in one of the top notch companies. She had a tough choice to make when her sister died in a car crash and was left with no option but to take care of her two nephews (2 year and 4 year old). Even though she loved attending to her household chores, yet she felt suppressed, suffocated and drained out of energy all the time. The fact that she was not able to use her creative skills in the way she wanted to, depleted her energy levels and gradually resulted in the blockage of her heart chakra. A direct consequence of this energy imbalance was depression and constant upper backaches.
How Body Mechanism gets disrupted
Our physical body is the outer manifestation of our inner feelings. It’s a strange phenomenon to see our body reacting to the external stimulus which might exist in the form of our situations, daily stresses or the people we interact and live with. Needless to say, the positive experiences do not disrupt the chemical balance in the body whereas the negative ones lay an adverse impact on our body system, pushing it to the verge of organic malfunction. Some common instances of the adverse effects of our negative thoughts / uncompromising attitude / taxing situations on our body are as follows:
1. When we worry a lot about our future and the responsibilities which we have to ‘shoulder’, our shoulders (literally) get affected.
2. When we are obsessed to do things ‘our own way’ without paying heed to the advice of our near and dear ones, the back of neck gets affected. The rigidity in our thoughts and attitude manifests itself in the stiffness of the neck. Isn’t that strange?
3. It is said that our ears tend to get affected when we have a bad habit of ‘not listening’.
4. Our arms and hands get affected when we don’t like to indulge in much of physical work. They can also get affected if we constantly harbor a feeling that we are not given the freedom to decide for ourselves and that someone else is in control of our life.
5. Legs help to walk and move forward in life and if they get affected, it means that somewhere deep down we have lost trust in our potential or abilities to make things happen for us. Metaphorically we are ‘not able to move on’. Our knees connect with our ability to cope with our changing situations; they also connect with our deep seated fears. The ankles are directly connected with our ability to be flexible and balanced. Similarly thighs relate to trust in one’s own potential and calves associate with the ability to keep oneself focused and not getting distracted. People, who have imbalance in the above stated areas of life, develop problems in the related body parts as explained.
6. Pent up grievances and hurt feelings can cause energy slither down in the lower back which causes unexplained backaches.
7. Left part of the body, in general, relates to the past and the right part relates to the future. This means that if left knee or left shoulder gets affected, it means the person has not been able to alienate himself from his past memories. Likewise a problem in right knee or right shoulder would indicate worrying too much about future and being scared of shouldering responsibilities.
