Positive Affirmations-Impossible is Only a Word

Updated on October 23, 2012

When you have positive affirmation there is nothing like impossible in your daily ventures. Most people at some point in time have wished to be someone special or important. What person has not fantasized about being famous in anything good? In addition, how many times have you dreamed about getting rich and being successful or happy in a relationship with your current boy friend or girl friend?

Many times, we have huge dreams, totally weird dreams and even greater aspirations. However, we never act upon these dreams. The aspirations quickly are put on hold and placed in a dark and hidden place. Yes, we get ready but we never get started. It becomes a situation of, “ready…aim…not today but tomorrow.” What is the outcome? Crumbled dreams and ragged aspirations.

When something has to be done, it has to be done correctly without any doubts! Circumstances shouldn’t be an excuse.

Instead of being a part of fun adventures in self visualization, we get caught up in the boredom of life's everyday existence. But, guess what? Life could provide so much more than this if we knew how to strive towards higher goals.

The most common obstacle to creating goals is the word impossible. This word has ruined many dreams that could bring a change to one’s life and even to the lives of many.

Majority of people think in error, “I cannot do this… It's too difficult… It's an impossibility… No one can accomplish this.” However, if everybody thought like this, no one would ever invent new things. For instance, think of Google and facebook, what if David Cheriton, Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin, Lawrence Larry and Mark Elliot Zuckerberg strongly believed the word "impossible" in their lives?

The world probably won’t have ever known Google and Facebook. Positive affirmation makes the difference; it eliminates the word impossible and possible becomes the main focus. As a result, there never would have been any breakthroughs in human accomplishments.

Don't forget that scientists were stumped when they researched the bumblebee. In concept, they said, it was an impossibility for the bumblebee to fly. However, this was clearly unknown to the actually bumblebee. It still manages to fly.

If you practice self doubt and constantly make assumptions that restrict your capabilities, you’ll never be capable of breaking past whatever it is that you think is impossible. If you aim too high without actually working towards your goal, you’ll discover yourself holding on to an impossible dream.

Have positive affirmation in your life. Write down a few of your life goals. Under one column, list the things that you know you can do. In another column, list the things that you think you can do. And in the last column, list the things that you think are just too impossible for you to do.

Now look at all of the columns and commit to accomplishing the items that are listed under the things that you know you can do. Check them off when you complete them. While you're proceeding through all of the things in that particular column, try doing some of the goals that you think you can do.

As you complete the items that you think you can do, you can move the list of things that you thought were too impossible to do. As you go through this process, you’ll discover that the goals you thought were too impossible to do will get much easier to do. Amazingly, these impossible goals start to seem like a possibility, positive affirmation takes place.

The strategy is, do not put restrictions on your creativity. Aim high and start working towards your goals a little bit at a time. However, it is not wise to set goals that are really impossible to reach.

People that only dream about a particular goal and doesn’t work towards it eventually become frustrated and disillusioned. If a person had said to people a century ago that mail delivery could reach the other side of the world within a few seconds; they would have thought of him being a crazy person. But then again, with determination, that impossible dream became reality.

Thomas Edison said that genius is one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration. This is very true. In order to reach your goals, you have to work hard, be self discipline and of all have a positive affirmation. But don't forget that this one percent has to be a really big dream and not something that is simple to do.

Ask most people and they’ll say that you’ll not make any accomplishments unless you're taken out of your comfort zone. Think about the old saying, “No pain, no gain.” This is very true indeed.

Continue to dream, my friend! Don't get hung up with your own personal restrictions. Continue to think big and work hard to reach your dreams. As you continue to progress higher, you’ll see that the impossible is only a word that vanishes in presence of positive affirmation. Sincerely, the impossible is doable.
