What is Propolis

Bees have made propolis their unique construction material so best way to answer what is propolis would be - a resinous compound for sealing gaps or leaks within the hive and that's exactly what bees use it for. They found it mostly on trees (poplars and conifers) as well as on some flowers.

I would think that some propolis must also go into the honey that we eat as well in the processing (or so I hope). I had never heard of propolis before visiting here but I did know how great a health benefit honey is.
