@johnsonry: You are so right, and "natural" is so misleading. Does Tocapherol acetate sound natural? Ascorbiuc acid? This are just other names for vitamins! The "natural" skin are often made up of almost the same ingredients as over the counter skin care, minus the most effective ingredients!

@KathrynDarden: Oh, yes, I agree. Olive oil soap is not for oily skin!

I have tried both the Anti-Age Line and the Soothe line (for sensitive skin) and I love them both. I never got results like these from the products at Macy's and Nordstrom's. I am definitely loving how my skin looks. Thanks for explaining the other products so well.

@oiloflife: No thank you. What the makers and sellers of olive oil soap won't tell you is that olive oil IS moderately comedogenic and can aggravate acne.

The squalene in olive oil is a natural fat which can trap moisture, so olive oil is good for moisturizing dry skin. It does not, however, contain any active anti-aging ingredients.

If all you want to do is trap moisture under a fatty oil, by all means, use olive oil soap.

@johnsonry: Exactly. I like botanicals for what they do, but medications can almost always do more. And a combination of the two is often more effective than either one alone.

@VeseliDan: That sounds like my mother -- who died of melanoma because she insisted on treating a spot on her leg with natural products. Natural products normally sit on top of the skin and don't do anything. To treat an illness requires medicine. To treat a skin condition also requires medicated ingredients. If you have healthy skin and no issues, you can get by with using botanicals or nothing for a while, but you are cheating your skin, because you aren't doing anything to prevent photoaging. Rodan + Fields uses a lot of botanicals and natural ingredients in every products, but they also contain medications that will actually treat the skin problem, whether it is premature photoaging, melasma, acne, hyper-sensitivity, rosacea, etc. So if you take aspirin for headaches, or antibiotics when you are sick or get a tetanus shot every 10 years instead of using only natural products, you should also consider using skin care products with medicated ingredients to improve and heal the skin.

Wow!!!!! This is nice, great info here.... No matter how hard you try to fight it, you are always growing older. However, that doesn't mean that you have to look older. Knowing how to look years younger can give you a newfound confidence in yourself... Thank for the great information

I had to remove a comment just from someone who came to my page -- a page I worked hard to create and develop to describe the Rodan + Fields products for my readers -- because they wanted to sell their skin care products on my page. For those who don't understand how this works, posting your link under someone else's work so you can steal their customers is called POACHING, and it is NOT appreciated. Please do not pimp your products on my page. In addition, all photos and text are © Kathryn E. Darden unless they came directly from Rodan + Fields. Thank you for following the copyright laws and ethical behavior of internet marketing.

With Sensitive skin, the skins barrier is often impaired, allowing vital moisture to escape and irritants to penetrate the skin causing stinging, redness and irritation. All skin types can be affected, but is more commonly found in those with dry skin.

Examples of sensitised skin include - Sun Burn, Wind Burn, Chemical Burn and skin that may have had a reaction. mascarillas para la cara

@anonymous: Chamomile is a soothing topical ingredient that can provide some temporary relief. However, it is limited to being topical and temporary. Chamomile does not have peptides which are nature's way of signaling new collagen production. Chamomile does not have a delivery system to get it past the skin's natural barrier. Chamomile lacks any properties that would actually change the skin from within and cause it to reverse the signs of aging and get rid of wrinkles, brown spots, etc. But certainly, if you just want a quick fix to provide temporary relief, chamomile and other botanicals do provide that. It is of interest to note that Rodan + Fields products are full of botanicals, plus peptides, other skin restoring ingredients and an effective delivery system.

Use chamomile in homemade skin care products and homemade soap recipes. Roman chamomile extract can be blended with other natural ingredients, such as aloe vera, rosemary and cucumber, for a natural homemade face cream. It can provide soft and soothed skin replenished with natural, moisturizing, healthful, nutrients. Chamomile can be used for making homemade soap. Blended with soap making oils, chamomile can help provide a homemade acne remedy and soothe dry itchy skin. inflatable hot tube helps in rejuvenation skin with its hot tub spa.
