This is a product that you can slather on dry skin, warm it and put in your hair as a conditioning treatment, eat it straight from a spoon , cook with it, use as a lubricant and it makes a wonderful massage oil:) . Nature gives us what we need and coconut oil is no exception!:) I put this stuff in my smoothies, my son cooks on medium heat with it, my once dry feet are no longer dry because of it. I have hypothyroid which makes my skin quite dry , i keep a jar of this on my night stand, one in my bathroom for my hair, and one in my kitchen for cooking. The health benefits of coconut oil include hair care, skin care,lowers bad cholesterol, raises the good, , aids in weight loss by promoting lean body mass, supports a healthy immune system, increases metabolism,helps lower blood pressure. Coconut oil is antifungal, antibacterial, antimicrobial and is an antioxidant that helps stop free radicals that age us and create disease.

The brand doesnt matter so much just make sure its organic. I have tried many brands and love them all. I prefer to get the brands in glass jars because i like to use those jars when the oil is gone to put my seeds and nuts in. Yup im cheap lol...or shall we say environmentally conscious:) Put fresh coconut in your smoothies or add the oil by the tablespoon full into a smoothie!:) You get the healthy benefits and the yum factor. I even put the oil in some of my raw cookie recipes that i dehydrate...:) Im always thinking of a way to get healthy in...
Coconut oil in my daily life
I use coconut oil each day to help support my immune system . It is one of the keys to my mostly Juicing and Raw/living foods lifestyle.
If you make dehydrated cookies from things like carrot pulp , this healthy oil is a great addition!:)
My healing journey
My links are all parts of my personal health protocol that aid me in keeping healthy in spite of autoimmune disease. I have 3 autoimmune diseases to date and hope to not get another. The most serious is Sarcoidosis that can invade your lungs/heart and eyes in its most serious stages, and i am knockin its socks off with my protocol! I have autoimmune hypothyroid and celiac which is a gluten allergy. I used to be afraid of the Sarc but once i got into nutrition and realized the power of food...i am a warrior on a mission to help others:)
