The Meaning of Dreams Based on Carl Jung’s Method

Updated on December 26, 2014

Mental Health and Wisdom

There are millions of different theories about the meaning of dreams. However, all of them are based on suppositions. Only the psychiatrist Carl Jung could discover the real meaning of dreams. He managed to prove how true his interpretations were thanks to the various successful therapies carried on through dream therapy.

His method is complicated and time consuming. It depends on the comparison of many dreams of the same dreamer during a certain period of time.

Fortunately after continuing his research, I found a way to transform his complex method of dream interpretation into a very simple method of instant translation. I cured many people since 1990, by instantly translating the meaning of their dreams and providing them with psychotherapy.

Today you have the results of my long research. You have proof of the efficiency of the scientific method thanks to the many successful dream therapies carried on through my dynamic method, derived from Jung's method. You have also Carl Jung's discoveries before mine, and his successful psychotherapies giving you even greater proof that the scientific method really deciphers the hidden meaning of dreams.

Carl Jung's Psychology

Dream Interpretation and the Trip to the Self

Carl Jung could discover the mysterious meaning of dreams and the wisdom of the unconscious mind that produces them.

He noticed that many people had dreams with similar themes and images, which indicated that they were making the trip to the Self. This trip represents the psychological movement of the human conscience.

By interpreting the meaning of personal dreams, the human being starts discovering that there is an unknown region in his or her psyche. This individual starts looking for the meaning of life, trying to find answers to all questions.

The Self is the wise unconscious mind. The trip to the self is a process of psychical transformation. The dreamer's personality is transformed while he or she acquires comprehension of the unconscious wisdom thanks to the translation of the dream messages.

The meaning of all dreams is very important. You must study the dream language without delay, especially now that it was completely explained, thanks to my continuation of Jung's research.

You'll realize that the process of transformation when you pass through dream therapy will save your life. You will stop making silly mistakes and doing what will bring you bad consequences. You will learn to do only what will certainly be good for you, for your family, and for your community.

Your personality becomes mature and unique. The unconscious wisdom becomes your own wisdom once you pass through a process of evolution. You are not a passive student, but an active hero who discovers the true meaning of life.

After completely developing your intelligence and acquiring complete consciousness, you are able to give your own wise answers to the world.

The trip to the Self relieves your pain and eliminates your doubts.

My first trip to the Self happened through my own literary work; just like many other writers whose writing was inspired by the unconscious mind.

After suffering a tragic car accident at the age of 15, I started writing a strange romance that worked like psychotherapy for me. At the same time it gave me the key necessary for the comprehension of the symbolic dream language. My heroes were all archetypes.

Archetypes are symbols familiar to all civilizations and historical times, which appear in dreams and in artistic and religious manifestations.

My second trip to the Self, through dream interpretation, completed the first one through literature.

I could not find peace and happiness in the end of my romance, and I had to accept waiting for the future. However, in the end of my second trip to the Self through dream interpretation, I found all the solutions I needed.

You can simply follow my steps and learn how to completely develop your intelligence, without delaying as much as Jung's students. I simplified his method of dream interpretation transforming it into a simple method of instant translation from images into words. It is a system that everyone easily learns.

Make your own trip to the Self starting today. You only have to pay attention to the meaning of your dreams, and keep a dream journal.

Archetypes are images that appear in dreams, artistic and religious manifestations of people who belong to all historical times, and civilizations.

When an archetype appears in your dream, this means that you are passing through a process which is common to the entire human race.

In other words, you are experiencing the circle of life, just like your ancestors did before you.

Dream Symbols

Transforming Your Personality

The dream language is based on symbols. A symbol is an image that gives you an idea about something else. This is why in a dream an apple, for example, doesn't represent a fruit, but wisdom, since this is the symbolic meaning which is connected with its image.

The connection of this meaning with the image of an apple was formed in the unconscious mind that produces dreams, and also gives us religious, artistic and philosophical inclinations.

When you learn how to translate the meaning of your dreams into sentences that you can understand, you discover that a simple image gives you information about many things, because a symbol represents a huge content.

When you think about the apple as a fruit, a singular object that has an ephemeral existence, and you compare it with wisdom, which is a superior and complex capacity to judge reality after analyzing all its details, you understand the dimension that the apple acquires when it has this symbolic meaning.

You may be thinking that wisdom can simply be defined by only one word; however there are dream symbols that have a complex definition, like the meaning of the snake.

The snake represents a bad event that will correct a serious mistake and work like medicine for the dreamer, besides all the painful situations that he or she will have to face. It will prevent him from continuing to make the same mistakes, and facing their consequences in the future.

This means that the snake is in fact the misfortune that will save the dreamer, since it puts an obstacle to the continuation of something bad for him, helping him correct his mistakes, and adopt a different attitude in life.

This is a definition that cannot be represented by only one word...

The same happens with the meaning of the spider, and many other dream symbols.

The spider is the hidden danger that you cannot see. It represents something very important that you have to understand or to do, otherwise you'll have many problems.

It is the obligation that cannot be postponed, the heroic attitude that cannot be avoided, or the indispensable solution that cannot delay, because the dreamer (or his reputation) is in danger.

Many times a very small dream scene is transformed into many pages of explanations, which give a lot of information to the dreamer, when we translate its symbolism.

So, if you see a dream with an apple, a snake and a spider, you would have a very serious warning which would basically mean that: you have to be wise (apple) and adopt the right attitude without delay (spider), otherwise you'll have to pass through many painful experiences (snake).

Now, we have to connect the dream symbols with the dreamer's life in order to give him or her clear advice so that he or she may transform his personality in order to be balanced and happy, depending on the unconscious' messages.

Let's suppose that the dreamer is too lazy and ineffective. Therefore, the exact translation of the symbolism for him or her would be:

You have to be wise (apple) and stop being lazy and ineffective without delay (spider), otherwise you'll have to pass through many painful experiences in order to transform your personality into a sensible one, and learn how to be a responsible person who works, and does all their obligations, because if you keep avoiding to work without thinking about the consequences of your irresponsibility, you'll face many problems in the future (snake).

This book will help you understand Carl Jung’s method of dream interpretation and also my discoveries, after continuing his research.

Dream Interpretation Secrets

Common Mistakes in the Translation of the Dreams' Meaning

The first secret for a perfect dream interpretation, which is in fact a translation from images into words, is that you have to forget everything you know, and try to understand the unconscious logic.

You see in dreams known people and known places, believing that the meaning of their appearance in your dreams is similar to the meaning they have in your waking life, but this is not true.

The unconscious mind uses scenes of your daily life in order to send you messages in a symbolic secret form, which you must translate to your own language.

They are secret because the wild side of your conscience, the anti-conscience, must not understand them, otherwise you would not have any protection from its attacks. It wants to control your behavior, so that it may be violent and immoral, instead of being tamed by your human conscience, and obey rules.

Therefore, the second secret for a perfect dream translation is that you have to remember that your dreams are important secret messages from your natural doctor, who is protecting you from your wild enemy.

Your primitive and violent side is too huge and powerful. It keeps trying to imprison you in the labyrinth of craziness, so that it may get rid of your sensibility. It wants to be a wild animal, and nothing else.

However, you are not only an animal.

You are a human being who has tremendous capacities.

You can become a genius if you'll completely develop the human side of your conscience, like the wise unconscious mind that produces your dreams.

Here are the most common mistakes for a perfect dream translation that you must avoid:

1. The dream translator tries to guess what the unconscious mind is telling to the dreamer, even though he or she deciphers the meaning of the most important symbols according to the scientific method.

If you translate only a few words of a foreign document based on a dictionary, but you try to guess the rest, you'll never be able to translate this document correctly.

You have to translate each part of the dream according to the scientific method, without giving your own personal definitions to the parts that you cannot understand. Look for the scientific way to translate the meaning of everything in a dream.

2. Believe in your translation when you translate your dreams following the scientific method. Many people cannot believe that dream interpretation can be so simple!

They have the impression that the very mysterious meaning of the dream can never really be found.

They are used to suppositions and obscure dream interpretations that mean nothing in fact.

This is why they cannot believe that the accurate scientific translation of the dream symbols is as clear and as simple like a translation from English to Spanish.

Once you discover the dream code, there is no mystery.

Different Types of Dreams - Basic Dream Interpretation

Dream Interpretation as a Science

In order to accurately interpret the meaning of your dreams you have to learn the dream language. Only the scientific analysis of the dream symbols can provide you real translations.

All dreams have a protective function. The unconscious mind that produces them sends warnings, information and guidance to your human conscience, so that it may avoid the traps of the anti-conscience.

The anti-conscience is the wild side of your conscience, which remains in a primitive condition. It keeps trying to destroy the human side of your conscience through absurdity, so that it may control your behavior. This is why most dream symbols indicate danger.

For example, when you see your mother in a dream, this means that you are being influenced by the anti-conscience.

When you think about your mother you believe that she represents someone who cares about you. However, the symbolic meaning that she has in your dreams is negative because your mother represents the chaotic formation of the primitive conscience, without any organization.

You should never interpret the meaning of dreams based on your opinion. You must study the dream language, the same way that you must study a foreign language if you want to understand it.

There are seven basic types of dreams:

1. Dreams that protect your mental health - These are the most complex ones; you absolutely need to learn the meaning of all dream symbols in order to understand them.

Our primitive conscience causes all existent mental illnesses because it keeps trying to control our behavior, so that it may get rid of our human sensibility.

Mental illnesses are in fact distortions in the functionalism of our nervous system, which cause a lack of equilibrium and abnormal behavior, and are provoked by the poisonous invasion of the anti-conscience into the human side of our conscience, which starts sending absurd thoughts and feelings. Later, it manages to completely destroy our consciousness through dizziness, emptiness in our mind, hallucinations and unbearable sensations.

The scientific method of dream interpretation can help everyone find peace and mental health, eliminating the dangerous influence of the anti-conscience, because the unconscious mind that produces our dreams is our natural doctor: the best specialist we could ever find.

2. Dreams that give you information about the person you love -These are the simplest ones. The person you love doesn't have a symbolic meaning. Other people don't have a symbolic meaning in this type of dream either. You only need to learn the meaning of a few dream symbols in order to understand these dreams, without completely studying the dream language.

When you see other people in your dreams, especially if you know them, you tend to believe that the dream is talking about them. However, the truth is that they represent parts of your own personality.

Everyone and everything that appears in your dreams have symbolic meanings.

The people who appear in your dreams represent parts of your own personality that have characteristics similar to the characteristics of the personality of the people you are seeing.

For example, if you see in a dream a friend who is very shy, he or she represents your own shyness. The meaning that each person has in a dream depends on the way that the dreamer judges this person.

However, when you have dreams about the person you love, he or she doesn't represent a part of your personality like all the other people. The unconscious mind gives you objective information about the special person, without using him or her as an example. This happens because deceptions in love lead to mental illnesses. The person you love is so important to you that the unconscious mind is constantly worried about your mental stability when you are in love.

When you are in love you cannot think logically, your feelings prevent you from analyzing the objective reality; you live lost in erotic fantasies. You are therefore ready to accept the absurdity that the anti-conscience tries to impose on you in order to destroy your human conscience.

This is why the unconscious mind gives you many detailed instructions about how you should behave with the person you love. When you keep a dream journal and you regularly translate your dreams, you have the clearest vision you could ever have about the development of your relationship with the special person.

The unconscious mind analyzes everything, showing you all the aspects that need your attention. If you are in a difficult situation because you are in love with someone you hardly know, the unconscious mind will send you many vivid dreams everyday; exclusively focusing on the person you love.

3. Dreams that give you information about dead people - These dreams are rare. You will have objective information about dead people only if they were very important for you. Otherwise, dead people in your dreams represent parts of your own personality.

The symbolism used in dreams about dead people is as complex as the symbolism used in dreams about your mental health. However, you can understand the unconscious messages much easier since the dead person doesn't have a symbolic meaning. You only need to translate the other parts of the dream.

1. When you see someone who is alive in real life but appears dead in your dream, you have to interpret this person as if he or she was a part of your own personality. For example, you see that your friend X is dead. What does X mean to you? How could you characterize him? You believe X is characterized by his or her extreme sincerity. So, this is the characteristic that he or she represents in your own psychic sphere. X represents your own sincerity.

If you see X dead, this means that you don't need his example anymore. Now, this conclusion has 2 different meanings according to what is happening to you and according to what the dead person means for you.

a. You don't need this example anymore because you are already like him. This fact has a positive meaning if your friend X represents a good quality in your psychic sphere. You don't need to imitate the example anymore; you already learned to behave like X does.

b. You don't need to avoid following his example anymore because you are already making the same mistakes made by X, in case X represents a bad quality of your psychic sphere, a part that is detrimental to you.

Since the person in our example (your friend X) is extremely sincere, we can conclude that this is a positive part of your personality and that the death of X has a positive meaning for you. You are already following this good example.

2. If the person you saw in your dream is really dead, the interpretation is the same - this is a part of your own personality that you are imitating and, therefore, you don't need their example anymore, be it good or bad.

However, dead people you see in your dreams who are really dead can reveal many more things in your dreams about your own personality because you can learn in your dreams about the reason of their death, in case they died while they were young, so that you may avoid making their mistakes, which may cause your own premature death.

3. In case the dead person you saw in your dream was someone you loved very much and someone who loved you very much, this person will give you very good advice by showing you real solutions in your dreams. He or she may also explain many things about his death and about your own life.

You can trust the information you receive this way, because dead people don't disappear after death; they continue to exist, they continue to love us and care about our life.

4. Nightmares, recurring dreams, or warnings - These are the most common ones. You are in constant danger due to the existence of the violent anti-conscience that tries to control your behavior.

All nightmares are serious warnings for the dreamer. They are so unpleasant that many times the dreamer tries to avoid sleeping in order to stop seeing them, but their importance is crucial for his or her safety.

Nightmares reflect real dangers existent in the human brain and psyche as well as in the outside world.

They have the general meaning of an alarm, working like all alarms that try to protect you when someone is trying to steal your store or your car. They try to protect you from losing your mental health first of all, and many times, from losing other things that belong to your daily life.

Nightmares must be always respected as very serious indications of psychical abnormalities or indications that the mental health of the dreamer is in danger. Recurring nightmares try to remind the dreamer of a certain obligation, something that he or she is postponing, but that must be done, otherwise he will suffer very much, or they try to emphasize to the dreamer something that he or she must understand in order to be able to overcome all the difficulties of life.

Recurring nightmares are constant alarms, because the dreamer is in constant danger.

You can avoid seeing nightmares by following the guidance of the unconscious mind in your dreams, since you'll learn how to solve all your problems, and overcome all mental illnesses.

Recurring dreams indicate danger because they are reminding the dreamers that they have postponed and obligation, or that they have to stop making a certain mistake.

During the course of my 20 years working in dream analysis with people who embraced the processes and others who didn't, I observed that recurring dreams are very serious warnings designed to enlighten the dreamers before impending doom.

Everyone who has recurring dreams for a long period of time faces a tragic event in the end. This happens because they are indifferent to the unconscious warnings in the symbolic form of dream images, and they don't do what they need to in order to avoid suffering.

Most people in our world completely despise their dreams, believing they are merely reflections of their worries, or that they are disorganized images that have no meaning at all.

However, the truth is, that once we learn how to translate dream messages according to the scientific method of dream interpretation, we observe that all dreams work like psychotherapy containing crucial information and optimal guidance.

The mystery behind all recurring dreams is that they are trying to prevent future catastrophes provoked by the anti-conscience.

You must learn how to translate your dreams without delay. Follow the unconscious guidance and escape from this tragic end.

The unconscious mind will show you how you can eliminate the dangerous influence of the anti-conscience forever. Instead of facing tragic events, you'll attain complete consciousness and become a real genius.

While in recent years the materialistic conceptions about the universe and human life has prevailed, in this century humanity is researching further and trying to understand all the aspects of the objective reality that cannot be explained by the limited materialistic conceptions, which ignore what doesn't fit into the scientific pattern of our time.

If the scientific world of the beginning of the twentieth first century is not able to explain many things, this doesn't mean that they don't exist, but that the scientific world is too ignorant yet to be able to discover the missing explanations.

Fortunately, the wise unconscious mind can help scientists and common people find all the answers they need, so that they may not only understand why reality is the way it is, but also how it can be positively transformed.

While all other methods one may use to predict the future are doubtable, and cannot help them understand why the reality they observe will develop in one certain way or another, dream interpretation according to the scientific method helps everyone understand the real reasons why something will happen in the future, giving them directions about how negative factors can be eliminated.

The wise unconscious mind keeps sending you dream warnings so that you may know beforehand what will happen in the future, and have the right attitude. You have also the chance to correct your mistakes and prepare better future conditions.

The unconscious mind that produces your dreams is a natural doctor that keeps trying to protect your mental health through dream messages. This protection works either because the wild side of your own conscience is constantly trying to destroy your human conscience through absurdity, or you have many enemies in your daily reality.

In order to save your mental health, the unconscious mind has to give you information not only about your psychical world, but also about what is happening in the outside world where you live, because too many dangers are constantly threatening your mental health.

When you know how to translate the meaning of dreams, you can always discern the anti-conscience's traps; therefore, guaranteeing that you have protection against the dark side of your psyche. You get rid of your inconsequential animal behavior and your violent reactions, becoming a balanced and wise human being who always makes the right decisions.

The information you receive regarding the person you love is the most important part of the dream messages, especially at the beginning of your adult life. The unconscious protects you from the wrong person, who will only make you suffer and prepares you for the right person, by showing you how you can eliminate all the mistakes of your character and behavior, so that you'll have a balanced relationship, without fights and misunderstandings.

You can predict the future and learn the intentions of the others around you. Thus, you can avoid conspiracies against you or correct possibly negative outcomes before facing the negative consequences.

5. Dreams containing future predictions - These dreams help you get prepared to face future difficulties, giving you the chance to correct your mistakes and prepare the future results you desire.

Predictions are possible because our reality is created before it occurs, what could be verified through many discoveries made through biology, which show us that each organism is well prepared to defend itself in a dangerous environment where it has many enemies, and it is also well prepared to attack and kill its prey, even from the first moments of its adult life.

The preparation of many factors in our planet has also been observed in astronomy. The formula of life was already known in our planet, because the possible combinations of the molecules that could result in a live cell could not take place in our own planet since it was too young. The number of chances or trials and errors required before life could appear on this planet are so vast that life would not have arisen on this planet if these combinations were made solely by chance.

So, the desire to predict the future is not absurd; on the other hand, it is perfectly logical and possible, because the creation of reality is a fact that has already been scientifically verified.

6. Dreams that analyze your past - These dreams work like psychotherapy, relieving you from traumas, fears, wrong impressions, and conclusions. They correct your behavior and attitude.

When you see dreams in which you are living in your past house, wearing old clothes, or being much younger, this means that you are repeating the (usually wrong) behavior you had in the past.

The unconscious mind is your protector and sends you many warnings when you are wrong, when you are making mistakes, and when you cannot see what is happening to you.

If you are living in a past situation in your dream, this means that you are still attached to your personality as it used to be when you were living the past situation you see yourself in.

This is not a good sign. Usually dreams about past situations remind you of your childish personality, about a time when you were too ignorant and didn't understand the meaning of your behavior.

Your behavior reflects your mental health. If you are behaving like a child, this means that you are being dominated by your primitive side, the side of your conscience that didn't evolve like your human side that is sensitive and can discern what is good and what is bad. Your primitive, animal side, is totally immoral, cruel and sneaky like a wolf.

It imprisons you into false, inadequate and ridiculous behavioral patterns, so that it may lead you to craziness and despair, completely destroying your human conscience, and this way, completely control your behavior.

If you are repeating a wrong past behavior, this means that you are in danger: you have to live in the present, and have a better behavior, be more mature, and more serious, so that you may escape from the traps of the absurd side of your conscience, and from the traps of the dangerous world where you are.

Learn how to automatically translate your own dreams, and use this tool forever. You'll have constant advice and guidance in all aspects of your life.

The unconscious mind will help you become more intelligent, and find real happiness, without being threatened by hidden dangers like now.

7. Dreams that reflect your progress - As you keep translating the meaning of your dreams and following the unconscious guidance, there are various dream symbols and themes that indicate all the evolutionary stages you pass through.

As you follow dream therapy regularly, writing down your dreams and evolving thanks to the unconscious guidance, you stop seeing bad and repetitive dreams.

The dream images will reflect your progress and evolution, instead of reflecting your mistakes.

You'll then see a big watch in a dream. It will be marking the beginning of your trip to the Self. Through dream interpretation you are going to discover who you really are and transform your personality as you become more intelligent and sensitive. The Self is the wise unconscious mind, which you will meet in the end of the trip.

You'll also see a river in a dream, since this is another important dream symbol that reflects your psychological progress. You must cross the river and face your wild side with heroism.

You'll transform the violent and childish reactions of the anti-conscience into prudent and mature actions that will be controlled by your human conscience. This way you'll be always sensible, balanced and wise.

Real Dream Interpretation

No matter what your problems or desires are you will find the answers you need in the scientific method of dream interpretation, because it is a real translation of the dream messages and because the wise and saintly unconscious mind that produces your dreams is your protector.

Carl Jung studied the meaning of dreams for many years, comparing many dreams and doing research that involved many different fields of speculation in order to discover the exact translation for them. His work was not yet properly evaluated by the scientific world.

Thanks to my research however, Jung's discoveries were proved and many other discoveries made by me explain all the obscure points in his theory.

So, don't believe in any other method of dream interpretation, because the other methods are not a real and accurate translation of the dreams' meaning. They are simply human suppositions and deductions.

Start learning now how to accurately translate the meaning of your dreams by using the unique scientific method, which will really help you in all aspects of life.

Native American Perspective on the Meaning Behind Dreams

Bad Dreams and Nightmares

The theory and relevance of dream interpretation that has existed for centuries can be illustrated with many examples from diverse cultures around the globe. Dreams have had an important role for so many civilizations. There is the example of the dream interpreters who accompanied military leaders in battles in order to guide them with their visions during the Greek and Roman eras. Or, we could focus our attention on the seven hundred citations of dreams and interpretations found in the Bible.

However, one of the most interesting examples of belief in dream messages is that of the Native Americans. This group considered their dreams to be sacred.

The American Indians would never dare disrespect the guidance given in dream messages. Ignoring the messages could lead to catastrophe, since the meaning of the dreams contains crucial information that would define one's destiny, indicate the route that should be taken and even cure diseases.

The Iroquois Indians of the Great Lakes respected the meaning of their dreams as if they were law. Their dreams would determine the right decisions to be taken concerning all matters of their lives, even regarding marriage.

If a member of the tribe would dream about his failure before he would fight in a war, he considered it as a true warning and had no hope to win the battle.

A famous tradition from the Ojibway (Chippewa) tribe was the creation of "dream catchers," which were made by sinew strands that they would tie in a web around a small round frame. The dream catchers would protect the tribe's children from nightmares when they were sleeping. According to their legend, all bad dreams would get caught in the webs they had prepared.

Such devotion to the meaning of their dreams was so remarkable that we must admit that American Indians certainly were able to decipher their hidden messages.

All of the theories and personal experiences of people from the many different civilizations who tried to interpret the meaning of dreams form a rich cultural collection. However, they cannot give us all the answers we need when we try to understand the meaning of our dreams.

Only in our century has the real meaning of dreams been completely deciphered, proved, verified, and successfully applied. This application is not only to cure the most serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia and psychosis, but also simpler mental illnesses like neurosis and depression, as well as in order to cure disabilities and physical diseases.

The scientific method of dream interpretation was discovered by the psychiatrist Carl Jung and simplified by me, as I continued Jung's research into the unknown region of the human psyche after precisely following his steps. This refined scientific method is the only one that can answer all questions, and help you really understand everything you need to learn about the meaning of your dreams and their healing power.

You'll verify that the Ojibway tribe was correct for fearing the bad dreams of their children. They knew that nightmares predict suffering, which is a consequence of human sins. They wanted to protect their children's future, so that the next generation would live peacefully and happily, without making mistakes in their lives. By learning the scientific method of dream interpretation, you now have the opportunity to offer the same security to your family.

Christina Sponias continued Carl Jung's research into the human psyche, discovering the cure for all mental illnesses, and simplifying the scientific method of dream interpretation that teaches you how to accurately translate the meaning of your dreams, so that you can find health, wisdom and happiness.

How to Solve Your Problems

With the Help of the Unconscious Messages in Your Dreams

All dream images and scenes have a symbolic meaning based on the dream language. This means that your dreams are not disorganized or absurd. They contain logical messages. However, the dream logic is not the same logic of your conscious mind, which is ignorant. The dream logic is based on the unconscious wisdom and sanctity.

You have to learn the meaning given by the unconscious mind to the dream symbols if you want to understand its words.

When you learn how to translate the meaning of your dreams according to the scientific method, you learn how to have a direct communication with the wise unconscious mind.

This means that you have the opportunity to ask the unconscious mind questions which will be answered in your dreams, through the messages you will receive.

The wise unconscious mind is not impatient like human beings, and this is why it gives you many detailed explanations. It repeats the same explanations in different ways so that you may completely understand its messages. It answers the same question many times, showing you the same problem and all its possible solutions through many different angles.

The unconscious mind is your doctor and teacher. It helps you acquire perfect mental health and gives you the ability to keep it forever. It also shows you everything you desire to learn.

You don't receive immediate solutions, but clues that help you find the truth by yourself. Your own intelligence must be developed so that you may be totally independent and able to find solutions to your own problems.

The unconscious mind is a very patient teacher and a very sensitive doctor. It waits until you are ready to understand before it begins to direct or show you what you need to know. The unconscious mind shows you how to look for the truth and where you can find it.

This means that once you learn the dream language you have the best help you could ever have in any situation. You'll be able to successfully solve all problems with the help of the unconscious guidance.

Whenever you'll have a dream warning, you'll know that you have to be careful or change your plans.

Whenever you'll see a positive dream symbol you'll know that you are on the right path and soon you'll find what you are looking for.

Dream symbols that indicate danger will prevent you from making serious mistakes. Dreams that give you clear and objective information about the person you love will help you avoid relationships with the wrong people. These dreams will also help you find your perfect match and true happiness in life.

Dream predictions will be your best protection against all dangers, since you'll see in your own dreams what will happen in the future beforehand. This way you'll know what to do in order to be successful. This knowledge will easily enable you to achieve even the most difficult goals.

You only have to study the dream language for a while in order to have the unconscious support in all matters. I simplified the method of dream interpretation discovered by Carl Jung, transforming it into a very simple method of fast translation that you'll easily learn.

Start keeping a dream journal and a diary. You'll soon become very excited with all the advantages that dream interpretation according to the scientific method will give you in all fields of your life.

@PsychologyOfMe: Only now I saw this comment because Squidoo is not sending me messages when I have a comment in a lens. I approved it today, but I see that it is appearing out of place. Something is not working as it should.

      Let me answer your questions:

In the second paragraph you write, "These dream symbols are always the same for all dreamers. Their meaning is also always the same." Then, in the last paragraph you write, "the personal details give a totally different meaning to the dream symbols." These two statements seem antithetical to me.

      My answer is the following:

The dream symbols are the verbs of the dream language. Their meaning is always the same. However, they also depend on the dreamerâs life biography. A positive dream symbol has another meaning when the dreamerâs life biography is negative because the dream symbols are like words. Words depend also on the context they are found.

      Next question:

Jung went on further to incorporate the history of the lazar-house into the dream analysis.

Jung's analysis of this dream wholly depended on the man's association to the dream symbol of the "simple peasant's house." Had the dreamer had another association, the house symbol and the dream would have had a very different analysis.

      My answer:

Jung was talking about relating a dream with associations. Associations are words that the dreamer relates to a certain given word. Therefore, he was not talking about dream interpretation only, but about relating associations to dream interpretation. This is something else; it is not dream translation only.

      Next question:

Had the dreamer had another association, the house symbol and the dream would have had a very different analysis.

      My answer:

The meaning of the house in dreams doesnât change. The house is an important dream symbol. It represents the dreamerâs psyche.

In this case, Jung related the dream to an association. This means that the dreamer had a sick psyche.

The meaning of the dream symbol doesnât change, but the association helped Jung understand the condition of the dreamerâs psyche.

      Next question:

In this case, I do not see the dream symbol as having a fixed meaning.

      My answer:

Only by reading Jung's words in a certain document this doesnât mean that you could understand his dream interpretation method. His method is so complicated that even Jungian psychologists don't know how to accurately translate the meaning of dreams.

I continued Jungâs research, correcting his mistakes after discovering a lot more. You will find a few differences between his work and my work because I could clarify many obscure points in his method.

@sponias lm: I'm not following your logic. In the second paragraph you write, "These dream symbols are always the same for all dreamers. Their meaning is also always the same." Then, in the last paragraph you write, "the personal details give a totally different meaning to the dream symbols." These two statements seem antithetical to me.

In the third Tavistock lecture, Jung is talking about dream analysis and relates a dream in which there is a "simple peasant's house." Jung says: "Now, do I know what a simple peasant's house conveys to that man's mind? Of course not; how could I? Do I know what a simple peasant's house means to him in general? Of course not. So I simply ask, 'How does that thing appear to you?' -- in other words, what is your context" When asked, the dreamer replied: "It is the lazar-house of St Jacob near Basel." (A lazar-house is a leprosery). Jung then said: "Whenever the dreamer brings such a piece of information, you have to put it into the context of the dream. In this case it means that the dreamer is in a leprosery. ... [H]e has, as it were, a revolting contagious disease; he is an outcast from human society, he is in the sick-house." Jung went on further to incorporate the history of the lazar-house into the dream analysis.

Jung's analysis of this dream wholly depended on the man's association to the dream symbol of the "simple peasant's house." Had the dreamer had another association, the house symbol and the dream would have had a very different analysis. In this case, I do not see the dream symbol as having a fixed meaning.

My goodness, not only do you inform your readers but you do it in a very poetic way. This statement in regards to the symbol of spiders, "It is the obligation that cannot be postponed, the heroic attitude that cannot be avoided, or the indispensable solution that cannot delay, because the dreamer (or his reputation) is in danger", is just wonderfully put. I could paint a painting to it almost. You are such an artist.

While giving great importance to the archetypal meanings of commonly occurring symbols, Jung also took pains to emphasize that it is always necessary to give precedence to the individual person's own, private interpretation of a person, place or thing occurring in his or her dreams, should this personal interpretation differ from the general one.

Alas, I have never been able to test out dream theories on myself. Throughout my life, I have rarely remembered dreams; probably less than once a year.

@anonymous: Carl Jung meant that we have to relate the dreamerâs life to the information we have in dreams, and not to the opinion of the dreamer about the dream symbols. His psychology was complex.

The process of individuation through dream interpretation is specific and based on a series of dream symbols that define the dreamerâs journey into his/her own psyche. These dream symbols are always the same for all dreamers. Their meaning is also always the same.

However, there are numerous other details that depend on the dreamerâs life biography. The dream symbols are the verbs of the dream language. We also have to follow the dream logic and relate this information to the dreamerâs life biography.

This is why Carl Jung mentions that the life of the dreamer and his personal vision of the meaning of his dreams is important. The dreamer must relate this information to his life.

This doesnât mean that the meaning of the dream language changes depending on the personal opinion of the dreamer, but that many times the personal details give a totally different meaning to the dream symbols. The personal details complete the meaning of the dream. They are the adjectives.

@sponias lm: I read statements to that effect several times in the original works of Jung, particularly when he discusses individual cases and procedures of analytical psychology. Such an approach also fits with the whole concept of individuation.

@anonymous: No, Carl Jung didn't believe that the dreamer should interpret his/her dreams based on his personal opinion. I donât know what makes you believe he did.

Jung discovered the meaning of the symbolic dream language, which is as specific as the meaning of any other language like English, Spanish, etc.

The dream language is based on images. The meaning of every dream image is given by the unconscious mind that produces our dreams. The opinion of the dreamer doesnât change the meaning of the dream images.

@JenwithMisty: All dreams are produced by the wise unconscious mind, which has a divine origin. They are not created by our ignorant mind. Carl Jung discovered the mysterious meaning of the dream language by analyzing the meaning of many symbols for different civilizations in different historical times.

All dream images have a symbolic meaning and give you precious information. For example, the bus indicates that your life is following a route without new alternatives. The bus follows always the same route, without finding anything different in the way. Your friend represents a part of your own personality, which has the same behavior he does.

You should submit your dreams for professional dream translation in order to understand the symbolic unconscious messages. You can also study the dream language by following my lessons.

Dreams are fascinating. The thing I don't understand is how we can dream in detail about places we've never been. Recently in a dream, I was visiting a friend around the world, we were on a bus, talking and having a great time. I haven't been on a bus in 20 years, the place was so detailed, and the friend felt so real. How can our mind create all that?

Made sense is what you said on lens. Also in my culture the elders have always stated that if you dream of getting bitten by a snake you will soon have a male child soon or if pregnant. Dreams are very interesting.

Hi Sponias, Thanks for an interesting lens. I have always wondered though, Does a dream symbol always have a consistent meaning? Wouldn't a snake mean something different to someone who was afraid of them compared with someone who kept them as pets?

@OccultPriestess1: One of my Greek friends is a Tarot card reader. Once she read the cards for me, and all her predictions became true. It was really impressing. I was very young at the time; this experience marked my life.

Another time, a friend of a friend read the cards for me â I donât know if this was Tarot. Everything she told me became true too. I verified into practice twice in my life that we can predict the future by reading cards. However, I have never cared about learning how to predict the future this way.

I feel safer trusting the dream predictions. I know how to change the future development of reality when what I predict is bad. This possibility is an advantage. Otherwise, why should I be able to predict that something bad will happen, if I couldnât prevent a catastrophe? Through dream translation I can see what I have to do in order to change the future development of my reality, and prepare positive results.

There are many ways to perceive what our ignorant conscience cannot understand. All the unexplained phenomena must be respected because they are real, and they have a meaning.

      Thank you for your comment!

@anonymous: Many people have tried to interpret the meaning of dreams, generating many different theories. However, the popular impression that dreams can be interpreted in many different ways is false. The dream language is specific and can be accurately translated. It is a universal language that doesnât depend on the dreamer. In other words, the meaning of all dream symbols is exactly the same for all dreamers.

However, in order to understand the dream language, we have to study the scientific method discovered by Carl Jung, who managed to discover the right code for a perfect translation. I simplified his method, proving that it is the only correct one.

When we translate our dreams according to the scientific method of dream interpretation we verify that our translations are accurate because we discover various solutions for our daily problems, we understand the origin of our psychological problems, and a lot more. These translations are totally different from various dream interpretations based on mere opinions.

To me, dreams is something connected to our daily life. It depends on the person themselves. Some people have dejavu, or see a random future. Ibnu Sirin interpret dreams based on revelations in Islam.

In the end, only the person can truly understand it

@JeremiahStanghini: I disagree with Jeremy Tailorâs statements, even though I only read a little bit about his work.

Jung was the only one who managed to discover the hidden code for a perfect dream translation. I prove that his theories were real discoveries. I continued his research, discovering the roots of the human absurdity, and discovering the divine origin of the unconscious mind.

Jung only suspected that the unconscious mind was the voice of divine providence, without researching further. I continued his dangerous research in the human psyche in order to discover the entire truth.

I also simplified Jungâs very complicated, obscure and time consuming method, transforming it into a clear, fast, and very objective method of instant translation from images into words.

Having such a thorough lens on Dreams, I'm really surprised you didn't mention Jeremy Taylor. I've spent a number of years in psychology and from everything I've read about dreams, he seems to be the best when it comes to dream interpretation... and yes, I am including Carl Jung. I'm in the transpersonal psychology field, so I've read lots and lots and lots of Jung. ;-)

@AWildDog: It was already scientifically proved that the meaning of our dreams is very important because our dreams are produced by the wise unconscious mind. However, without learning how to accurately translate your dreams according to the scientific method you cannot really understand their meaning. Therefore, you cannot evaluate their importance.

Study my lessons. I give you many free lessons of dream interpretation in my daily articles. Youâll see how really precious the meaning of our dreams is after learning the meaning of the symbolic dream language.

The dream images have a totally different meaning in dreams than in our awaken life; the dream language is a hidden code. We have to study and learn the meaning of this hidden code, so that we may be able to understand the unconscious wisdom.

I don't really believe in dream symbols and such like to be honest. I do believe that dreams help us to deal with our lives (for example, I often play out arguments I can't have in real life) and help us to remember the events of our lives.

I believe you can dream of (for example) fear of something but it won't be represented by a certain object - unless you've convinced your mind through reading these things to show you a specific thing - I think it will be played out more literally or somewhat similar.

      Interesting read though.
