The Therashoe: Great Plantar Fasciitis and Therapeutic Shoes
People swear by them, and no I do not mean “My ******* Therashoes don’t work”. The shoes are great therapeutic shoes and have won many fans in the short time they have been on the market.
A new addition to the toning shoe market no longer attracts so much media attention with so many toning shoes and therapeutic footwear already on the market.
As such, it is quite easy to miss a great product when it is launched, so I have decided to spread the word about Therashoe. It eases foot pain, creates a healthier walking gait, and will even improve body tone.
Therashoe uses a rocker bottom sole to tone the lower body, with a super soft foam midsole providing excellent cushioning for the joints throughout the lower body. The tried and tested rocker sole design helps to generate increased muscle activity in the calves, hamstrings and buttocks to get more value out of walking and to gently build up lean body mass whilst you walk.
However Therashoe offers far more than a well toned bottom and better core muscle strength, with a full complement of benefits to improve overall body wellness.
The main function of these toning shoes is to correct the posture to take the shock waves out of walking. By absorbing the force of the heel strike and dissipating the energy throughout the shoe, shock waves are prevented from reaching the joints, easing pain and making walking highly comfortable. The heel strike can be damaging to the body, and whilst the human foot is a marvel of engineering, it has yet to evolve to adequately deal with the shock waves from walking on hard modern surfaces such as concrete and asphalt.
The natural way of walking is barefoot on soft ground, where the heel is cushioned and the forefoot takes its fair share of the body weight. When walking on hard surfaces, modern shoes promote a heavy heel strike and take the force away from the forefoot. Modern shoes place more strain on the heel and prevent a healthy rolling of the foot from heel to toe, which can lead to foot fatigue and injury.
Therashoe changes this thanks to an innovatively designed midsole. Whereas other tone shoe manufacturers use a dual density or triple density midsole, the Therashoe uses 6 different densities. The strategically placed EVA compounds in the midsole offer maximum shock absorption, whilst giving the necessary level of support throughout the stride. As the foot rolls smoothly from the heel to the toe, a greater range of muscles are activated, adding more toning value to walking. However by creating a more pronounced roll, the shoes stretch the muscles and ligaments in the feet, conditioning and strengthening with each and every step.
With the heel perfectly cushioned and a natural roll set in motion, the distribution of foot pressure is changed which has profound benefits for sufferers of many painful foot conditions. The most notable advantages are for sufferers of plantar fasciitis and heel spurs; common foot disorders estimated to affect 10% of Americans at some point during their lifetimes.
The Therashoe helps to gently stretch the plantar fascia, conditioning and strengthening the feet to better resist the forces of walking and running on hard surfaces. The shoes are a great preventative measure to take to ensure that plantar fasciitis never develops, and heel spurs never form. The shoes promote a natural alignment of the bones in the foot, with a roomy toe box to prevent pressure from damaging the joints. As such they are excellent bunion shoes and great for sufferers of hammer toes. The shoes replicate one of the most beneficial plantar fasciitis exercises, simulating barefoot walking in soft sand and speed up the recovery process.
Not only is the Therashoe one of the best shoes for plantar fasciitis, the bones of the feet are allowed to align naturally easing many other common complaints such as heel spurs, bunions, hammer toes and even stress fractures, and with posture correction and improved lower body toning, they offer a great package for improving overall body wellness.

The Therashoe offers excellent cushioning, support and comfort and is a great treatment for plantar fasciitis, heel spurs and many other foot complaints. Wearing Therashoes will even help to prevent the conditions from developing in the first place. The shoes offer exceptional value for money, and are available on Amazon for under $35, half the price of most tone shoes on the market. The styles are better than most therapeutic shoes already being sold, although you will not get the cutting edge fashionable designs of the big name tone shoe brands.
On the downside, you will struggle to find a toning shoe with a thicker outsole. At around 2 inches, it is at least half an inch more than most other rocker sole brands on the market. Whilst this makes for great cushioning, if you want to correct the posture and ease pain on the quiet, these are not the shoes for you.
However if you want a pair of cheap toning shoes with great benefits for wellness, you can’t go far wrong with a pair of Therashoes on your feet.
Where to Buy Therashoe Footwear
Therashoe footwear has previously been sold by Sears and K-Mart; however stocks of the shoes have been depleted and these stores are no longer stocking the footwear. It would appear that the Therashoe company has gone out of business according to the Facebook account.
In the United States, the only option appears to be E-bay as detailed below. The listings will include unwanted purchases, excess stock and second hand models.
The only place I have managed to find Therashoe footwear still available for sale is in the UK, on Amazon.co.uk. I suspect that this will only be until stock runs out. Buying the shoes in the UK and shipping them to the United States will not only involved postage costs, but also may be liable for import taxes, which may make the footwear prohibitively expensive.
