Walking is a great form of exercise, it also is a great way to reduce stress or anxiety.

Not only is walking good for your body, I think it can help your mind and it possibly could stop you from doing something you regret.

How many times have you head someone say just keep walking buddy, that may sound rude but it also is good advice.

Sometimes if I get angry and I need to calm myself down, I just walk it off

I've found that when I go walking, if I am mad, by the time I make a couple of laps around the track I usually have had time to think about what is upsetting me and I also get the extra benefit burning a few caloreis.

Which for me is always a good thing, I love to eat.

Overeating can cause you to gain weight, so I use walking as a way of helping to maintain a healthy weight.

Walking is a great form of exercise

  • If you are older
  • like the outdoors
  • need to be alone
  • need to blow off steam
  • need to clear your mind

I think that walking should be part of everyones lifestyle.

It should be done as a routine, if you are a begineer I would recomend walking 20 minutes, 3 days a week.

If you are already walking then adjust yourself accordingly.

Remember that too much of anything isn't good for you, that includes walking.

I think to get the maximum out of a walk, it is better to walk slow and a longer distance, instead of a faster pace and shorter distance.

I may be wrong about that but it works good for me.

You should always talk to your doctor before beginning any exercise regiment.

I am not a doctor, I am a guy that likes to walk and I think that walking is under rated as far the many benefits walking offers, in comparison to other exercises.

Try to remember if you are having a bad day or maybe you are mad, it may be best to walk it off.

Walking could stop you from

Thanks for stopping by

Good and informative hub. I love walking. In fact, I am a great walker. I avoid taxi or public transport and prefer a walk despite many odds.

Your picture of bridge on trail is so inviting that I am tempted to walk right now.
