  • Regulates and lowers the risk of blood pressure.

  • Reduces the chances of developing asthma.

  • Prevents formation of free radicals that cause cancer.

  • Bananas contain fiber, potassium, vitamin C and B6 all of which are essential for a healthy heart.

  • Including high fiber in your diet prevents diabetes and also improves the condition of diabetic patients.

  • Bananas have electrolytes such as potassium which helps treat diarrhea and constipation.

Bananas are available all year round unlike seasonal fruits. You can have bananas along with oats and smoothies. Banana milkshake is an excellent source of proteins. Here's how you can prepare it:


Ingredients: 1 banana

3 ice cubes

½ cup milk

2 ½ teaspoon sugar or honey

1 scoop vanilla ice cream (optional)

1 small bowl of chopped dry fruits (cashew nuts, almonds, pistachio, raisins) (optional)

Method: Put the banana, milk, sugar, vanilla ice cream, ice cubes in a blender and mash it completely.

You can add half of the dry fruits while blending and save the rest of it for garnishing.

Once the mixture has a smooth consistency, pour it into a glass.

Garnish with chopped dry fruits.
