My Absolute Favorite!

Out of all the toys on this page, this is the one bought most often and the toy I receive a ton of positive feedback on. I’ve experimented with several of these sets, and they are FASCINATING to kids in this age range (ok, they are really amazing to me, too)!

Gift-giving is great, but I love that this is a learning toy that will work his mind.

This is an awesome set that allows your seven year old boy to build all sorts of projects: a radio, doorbell and burglar alarm is just the start. Snap Circuits gives your child a hands-on education in how electrical circuits run the everyday devices that they’re familiar with. The project manuals include large color illustrations and simple directions for each project. There are a variety of snap circuit sets to fit any budget.

At first I thought this would be too complicated, but it's incredible how this simple learning experience show how things like science and physics work to a boy as young as 7,

I absolutely love the wonder that appears on their face when they make a simple gadget, and you will, too.

Awesome Toy for the Active 7 Year Old

Looking for a unique gift that will keep your 7 year old active? This one is perfect for the warmer weather! If your child is anything like most of mine in the neighborhood, they spend more time playing video games than playing outside (and really, what ever happened to actually playing outdoors?!). Encourage him to get up and out with this novel idea.

Let me introduce you to the RipStik Razor, a cross between a skateboard and a snowboard. This cool outdoor toy will help keep him active (while this is nothing but fun, he’ll get a great workout!). By simply shifting his body weight, he’ll propel this casterboard forward–there’s no need to push it with his feet like he would a traditional skateboard. This board can also do some tricks, too!

This is also a great cold-weather gift because even though he'll want to try it out immediately, the motion of it will keep him warm and toasty.

Check Out the RipStik in Action - I'd love one of these...even that strange?

Watch this kid demonstrate how to operate one of this awesome device -- can you see how it can be a great workout, too? All the kids fly around my neighborhood with these, so I think it's something he'll be able to pick up really easily.

Head-Turning Gift For Seven Year Olds (Really Cool!!)

Awesome, awesome, awesome!! These are ALL over my neighborhood and any kid would love to own one. They come in a few colors, too.

They are really easy to use — you kick off with your foot, and once the scooter reaches 3 m.p.h. (easy!) the motor starts. It can go as fast as 10 m.p.h. so your boy will love that it has a bit of zip.

I’ve actually been able to try this out (I’m at the very top of the weight limit!) and I must say it is A LOT of fun. It handles really well, too.

For peace of mind, encourage him to wear a helmet, just in case!

Get Him Reading!

Great Book for Boys: Encourage Reading (So Important!!)

The Dangerous Book for Boys
The Dangerous Book for Boys

This is a very special book that teaches boys all sorts of…well, boy stuff. He’ll learn how to tie knots and skip stones. He’ll learn about American History. He’ll learn how to make a bow and arrow. He’ll learn so much–sure, not all of it is useful, but all the topics keep the book very engaging and entertaining to 7 year old boys. I think this is a great way to keep his brain engaged on summer and winter breaks from school.

This book has 800+ reviews–parents and boys love it! It’s a hardcover book, so it makes a great keepsake to keep on the nightstand.

Reading is SO important, and he'll enjoy digging into this book.

Fun Birthday or Christmas Gift for 7 Year Old Boys

Boochie, A Whole New Ball Game
Boochie, A Whole New Ball Game

I love this toy–it’s great for young boys because it works both their brains and their fingers–in a way video games simply can’t! Do you remember when the first Bop It came out eons ago? This is definitely new and improved, and will challenge him like never before.

Every time I play this, I get addicted to it all over again. Of course, it also gives me a mild case of anxiety because I’m just waiting to mess up. :) But, that’s all part of the fun!

I also LOVE that this toy comes with batteries, so you don’t need to add any on!

Big Savings on This Fun Gift!

Syma S111G 3.5 Channel RC Helicopter with Gyro
Syma S111G 3.5 Channel RC Helicopter with Gyro

My favorite thing about this that you'll love: there's no assembly required, so it's ready to fly as soon as it's taken out of the box (which is necessary with boys this age because as soon as they open something they want it in use!). Most measure about 7.5 inches and fly for 8-12 minutes after a 30 minutes charge with the included USB cable or controller.

These also come in a zillion different colors, so if he’s not into red(my nephew is obsessed with red so that's why I chose that color), they have red, blue, silver, you name it!

The fist thing I found was the helicopter. But when I spotted the Lego Ninjago that was it. The son loves Lego's and Ninjago is based on Lego characters. Combine the two and that's that.

@HotToys_: Maybe but parents should be careful not to underestimate their children's abilities. It is a good idea to do projects with your child, anyway, and that way you are on hand to help with difficulties.

So glad I found this list. My 7yo son has 4 7yo b'days to go to in the coming weeks. I was terrified that I wouldn't find something different for each one given they are classmates. This list has given me heaps of options. Thank you, now I have to refrain myself not to buy all of them for my spoilt son!

I actually have a whole bunch of his toy lenses doing really well but my best gifts for 10 year old boys is the hottest toys one I have. Great job.
