10 Christmas Memes for the Holiday Season

Updated on December 1, 2018

Caitlyn has both experience and formal education in many different areas.

It's officially that time of year. The twinkling fairy lights are strung up, the sweet smell of pine fills many homes, predictable Christmas-themed romance movies are on repeat, the same Christmas songs covered and remixed by various artists in varying genres are collected in playlists and played by an increasing amount of DJs as the day draws closer, and the crisp winter chill has settled in many parts of the world. Whether someone is anticipating the holiday from the first day of fall, or are dreading the day with every bone in their body, creative people on the internet have made a holiday-themed meme for the day.

For those who don't know what a meme is, they are 'humorous images, videos, pieces of text, etc., that are copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by Internet users'.

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

Christmas Movies? Count Me In!

For those who really want to embrace Christmas, but have that soul-sucking job that just takes the jolly right out of the best. Stay strong.

To The One Who Thinks They're 'Nice'...

Everyone has that friend who swears up and down they've been good boys and girls this year, but everyone knows they have coal waiting for them in Santa's sled. Just smile and nod along. (Or show them this meme.)

Animals and Christmas Just Don't Mix!

Anyone with dogs or cats knows the beautiful Christmas tree, so carefully decorated, never lasts long with the furry family members. Don't be too hard on them! The holiday spirit gets to even the four-legged friends in the house!

So We're Just Going to Skip Thanksgiving?

Some people are so excited for Christmas, they have 'Holiday Amnesia' and skip right over the holiday of gratitude and thanks, instead planning for Black Friday shopping and snatching up the newest holiday decorations taking up all the shelf space.

Poor Halloween and Thanksgiving. The forgotten ugly step-siblings of Christmas.

Curse You School!

No one is more excited for December than children who attend public school. No class for two weeks? Plus presents from a jolly old man they don't see or know but who knows them all so well? It's a wonderful time for children, except for those unfortunate enough to have teachers who love giving the gift of holiday homework.

Guess they won't be getting any gifts from their students this year.

Back Up, Santa!

Some people are staunch supporters of Halloween, and therefore want to keep Santa and his holiday of gifts at bay for as long as possible.

At least long enough to devour and digest the candy collected over the holiday.

Who Doesn't Love Presents? And Making Lists?

It's weird how someone can know exactly what they want the entire year, but as soon as they are asked what they want for Christmas, it's as if they had never looked at something on Amazon and wanted it.

Maybe a list should be compiled long before the pressure of family members asking comes around.

For Those Eager for the Holidays Way Too Early

Nothing like that one person who starts playing 'Jingle Bells' September 22nd.

Have A Friend Who Can't Spell to Save Their Life?

Some people are really hard to shop for. That one friend who constantly spells words wrong in their posts? Perhaps it's not so hard to guess what they need in their stocking this year.

I am the Second One...

The annual Elf vs Scrouge war has begun. May the odds be ever in your favor!
