7 Incredible Songs to Make Your Wedding Anniversary Unforgettable
So you've made it this far
While the statistic that about 40-50% of married couples in the United States divorce being proven day in and day out, I am proud to announce that just a few days ago I celebrated 12 years of marriage.
The 12 year road has put us through every emotion available to humans and has taught me lessons that no book could ever teach me while producing memories that I will forever be grateful for.
Mixtapes haven’t been used for years but that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be. Mixtapes allowed you to share your feelings through music and gave that special someone the ability to carry them with them everywhere they went...or at least until their batteries ran out.
Here is a list of special songs to help you celebrate that special day with your soul mate.
Langhorne Slim - Sometimes
"Sometime I hate the things that you do
Sometimes I hate the things that you say"
You're probably thinking about this regardless of how long you've been married but listen to the rest of the song, it has a happy ending.
Alan Jackson - I'd Love You All Over Again
This is one decision (getting married) that you know you would do all over again if given the opportunity.
The Decemberists - Make You Better
"Behind every great man there is an even greater woman". At least that's how my wife says it goes.
Styx - Babe
Styx didn't make any songs called "Sugar", "Honey" or "Baby" so if that's what you call each other don't think I was discriminating.
Dean Martin - Memories Are Made of This
Everyday should be a memory edit edit edit
Louis Armstrong - La vie en rose
La vie en rose translates to Life in pink however, it would be better translated to life through rosy (pink) glasses. The idea is to handle your marriage and especially your anniversary in a state of bliss because everything around you should be a source of joy. Besides, what kind of state should you be when you are deeply in love?
The Beatles - When I'm Sixty Four
I know that one of these days it's going to be even harder for me to roll out of bed and when that day comes I can only wish that my wife is still there with me to push me off the bed.
