Bronwen loves to enjoy literature and write poetry; some are in her book, 'Dithyrambles', available in her online bookstore.

"For thus says the Lord: As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you." Isaiah 66.13

She is worth far more than precious jewels. Her husband trusts her and she is good to him. She obtains wool and flax and enjoys working with her hands, she travels long distances to get food, she gets up while it is still dark and prepares food for her family; she helps the poor and the needy. She buys property, works on it and keeps herself fit. She is not afraid of winter because she has made warm clothes for everyone. She dresses well; she makes clothes and belts and sells them. She speaks wisely and teaches her family to be kind; she organizes her household and is never lazy. Her children bless her and her husband praises her, telling her she is the best wife in the world. She hates evil, has reverent trust in God and obeys Him in all she does. Proverbs 31.10-31 (paraphrased).

Thank You, God, for Our Mothers

Lord, we kneel and thank You

For our mothers dear,

For all they mean to us each day

And just for being here.

Thank you for their comfort

Through every childhood fear,

And for their care in every way,

For their loving year by year.

Caring for her family,

Obeying God's commands,

She weaves our clothes and mends them

And works hard with her hands.

She cooks nutritious meals,

Leads well and firmly stands,

To poor and needy she is good,

Never joins the gossip bands.

Just as in far-off days

We praise her for her deeds,

For her care for all the family

And for her husband's needs.

And thank you God for loving

In a home where You she heeds,

And now please help us all to try

To follow where she leads.

And, when her husband comes

To share in prayer and meals,

May he tell her she is his world,

Let her know just how he feels.

And on their blest communion

May Father place His seals;

May loving husband pull his weight:

God's head of family kneels.
