A Tribute to Spring
On golden sunbeams the Spring Season comes,
Each particle lights the cool air with a mix, sublime.
The happy warblers sing, as the busy bee hums,
This essence, from which the poet's words rhyme.
Light fluffed clouds sail across wide bluing skylights,
Colorful flowers blooming on every limb and tree twig.
Much to the fond heart's greatest receptive delights,
As now comes the right time for our gardens to dig.
Warm breezes waft over the greening hills and dales,
Bringing happiness now, as the fine weather prevails.
With rose bushes planted and vegetable seeds sown,
Mom in her hat and gloves, glad the Winter has flown.
Dad's dusting off his best fishing poles and his gear,
All's looking mighty fine, now that fishing time is here.
The kids are relieved that they can play outside at last,
Now that that cold wind has gone, with its Wintry blast.
The warming sunshine bathes on our faces, as to attest,
A reprieve from the cold mood of Winter, we're blessed.
As all wild creatures stir from each sanctuary, so deep,
New life soon awakens, as all arises from a long sleep.
A new conscience is given to the heart by each Spring,
The pleasures of a new song, for every soul to sing.
Now turning frowns to wide smiles, more than anything,
The true blessings of our lives, to us each, it does bring.
