A Christmas present for your girl friend

Updated on December 8, 2017

Here we go again!

Well guys it's here! It's that time when we have to ask ourselves that age old question: “What am I going to get my girlfriend for Christmas”? After all she is 'special' and we want to get her something that will totally impress here! Something that says she's special!

But let's face it, we don't have a clue what she will like! We don't normally shop. And we definitely have no idea what to give here! So now we begin brainstorming! We try to get hints from her. Maybe we even ask her girlfriends! But we know, in the end, we have no idea!

There is an answer.

This year, instead of getting her the same old “lame” gift, let's try to wow her with our thoughtfulness and good taste! Let's get her a gift she will just love! Tall order? Impossible? Not really. All we have to do is give it a little thought!

Don't do this!

Three choices

Let's begin with what girls like. There's clothes- but do you know her size? And you and I know we have no fashion sense! So what about shoes? Same problem. No we have to keep it to something she will like, yet is safe. That leaves three things:

      1. Smartphones- women love to talk on a phone.

      2. Jewelry- style without the risk.

      3. Cameras- most women love to take pictures.

Of the three, I like cameras the least! A good smartphone will let them talk and take pictures. So smartphones are a good choice!

Try a smart watch!

But what if she already has a great smartphone (and she probably does)? That leaves jewelry.

A great idea is a smartwatch! It's jewelry, and she can talk on it! Smartphones come in many stylish forms so that shouldn't be a problem. They have been around for awhile so they should be well tested and reliable. And she probably doesn't have one! So a smartwatch is a good choice!

Of course, a smartwatch could cost you a pretty penny! They run from $13,000 down to $89 on average. So you could take a chance on a cheaper one. This is an idea. She will probably love it! Unless it has too many problems! Make sure is has all the features she'll need, and works anywhere. All-in-all a smartwatch could be just the answer you're looking for!

Jewelry- your best choice

That brings us to jewelry. Jewelry comes in all sizes, shapes, and forms. It can range in price from thousands of dollars to five or ten dollars. So jewelry gives us plenty of choices. Basically jewelry comes in just a few types:

.

Bracelets

Bracelets- These are for the wrists and ankles. Bracelets are usually a good choice. They, too, come in many styles and prices. Most women seem to love ankle bracelets! They also seem to prefer the dangle kind as a solid bar-type is somewhat masculine. Although there are many slimmer, feminine ones that are popular these days. The downside is the dangle types can get caught on clothing and break. The cheap ones have the same problem as rings in that they will often turn their wrists and ankles green

Got it!

Rings

Rings- Rings simply fit the fingers. Another thing women seem too always want are rings! Rings have many advantages- they come in all styles and price ranges, and they are always visible. Be careful of cheap rings though, you don't want to give her something that will turn her finger green! And watch out that she doesn't want to get too personal! Women seen to take rings as attachment.

Be careful!

She'd love this!
She'd love this!

Pins

Pins- I include earrings here as well as broaches and pins. Pins are stylish and a little more personal (for some reason), women love them! There are all types and sizes. They also come in all price ranges. The downside is beware of cheap ones and brooches are sometimes too bulky or seasonal.

Here's the scoop!

Gift
Pro's
Con's
Necklaces
These include pendents, chokers, and danglers. Since they come in so many types and price ranges, a necklace is an easy choice. Almost any hanging necklace will impress here, but she probably likes them all! There are even multi functional necklaces!
The down side is they won't be appropriate for all her wardrobe.

Always remember.

Maybe a small brooch

In conclusion

In conclusion I think a smartwatch or some jewelry will be your safest bet! If you decide on jewelry, think about matching earrings. She'll love you for the thoughtfulness! Get something in your budget range, but don't get something so cheap it falls apart or turns her skin green! Women do not like that! Look online for what you want. If you're like me you don't want to shop in a store!
