Best 4th of July Memory

It is time for the fourth of July again. This is the day that most of us have off with the exception for a few fire fighters and the police that have to make sure the law is being followed. But this is an important day for us because this is the day we got our independence, not a cheap cost either. We fought for it for so many years.

Everyone spends their fourth of July in a different ways. Most people celebrate by fireworks whether it is buying fireworks of their own or maybe seeing fireworks from the distance. Now you go to most cities and states and they have fireworks banned unless you are outside the city limits and where I live, it has expanded so much that where they used to have fireworks they can't anymore.

There are several memories that I have but one that really has stuck with me was when we would just meet up with the other people at our church and have some fun and games, they would be grilling some burgers and hot dogs. It was just the idea of being able to have fun with each other until we all felt like going home. At that time the area we were in wasn't part of the city limits so we were able to shoot off fireworks. I can remember just sitting in the back of the truck and watching all those nice colorful fireworks go up. It was a really nice way to spend our fourth of July. Even though now we see the fireworks from far, we always find a way to spend time with each other on a special day like this.

      wonderful memories.... we are going to my sons in Texas.. we usually do our own fireworks.. but I don't know how the weather is.. hopefully we can... you have a wonderful 4th
