Ghostbusters - Ray Parker, Jr.

Ghostbusters

Obviously, you cannot have a collection of Halloween music videos without Ghostbusters by Ray Parker, Jr. Everyone and their brother was out there singing, "Who you gonna call?" in the 1980s. If you don't include this song or music video on your list of Halloween party favorites, you may as well pack up your party and give up now.

-

Thriller - Michael Jackson

Thriller

You can't have a good Halloween party without Thriller by Michael Jackson. Make sure to include the extended version of the music video for all your partiers. Sure, it is a little long, but it is totally worth it. Maybe you can get all your friends to learn the zombie dance and perform it during the party. You've got to have this hit at your party. After all, the video even includes a monologue read by Vincent Price. Seriously, who can pass up a music video with Vincent Price?

I'm Your Boogie Man - White Zombie

I'm Your Boogie Man

When it comes to being terrified while watching a music video, Rob Zombie is always going to be your guy. When Rob Zombie was the lead singer of White Zombie, he created an awesome music video for their own rendition of I'm Your Boogie Man . If you are looking for more excellent Halloween music suggestions from Rob Zombie, you may want to also search for:

  • Dragula
  • Living Dead Girl
  • More Human than Human
  • Hands of Death
  • Superbeast
  • Demonoid Phenomenon

WARNING: Rob Zombie is not a PG rated artist. If you have children at your party, you may want to skip some of his music videos.

Love Kills - Vinnie Vincent Invasion with Mark Slaughter

Love Kills

In a time not so long ago big hair ruled the airwaves. During this time, a song emerged from all that hair called Love Kills by Vinnie Vincent Invasion. For those of you that were fans of the band Slaughter, you are in for a real treat since Mark Slaughter makes a guest appearance as the lead singer. For those of you that are Freddy Krueger fans, you'd better brace yourself for this one. The song was featured in Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. The Love Kills video is full of fun-filled Nightmare on Elm Street 4 scenes with the original (the real) Freddy Krueger.

-

Sweet Dreams - Marilyn Manson

Sweet Dreams

You may not ever have sweet dreams again after watching this video, but what Halloween / scary music video collection would be complete without Marilyn Manson? So put the kiddies to bed and kick back to enjoy some Marilyn Manson. One of their creepiest music videos is Sweet Dreams , originally released by the Eurythmics. As if the original version was not disturbing enough, the band Marilyn Manson felt the need to put their own twist on it.

-

Pet Sematary - The Ramones

Pet Sematary - The Ramones

One of Stephen King's scariest novels is Pet Sematary. Obviously, you have to assume a music video called Pet Sematary is going to be scary, too. As if that is not enough of a selling point, the song is by the Ramones. You absolutely must include Pet Sematary on your Halloween party playlist.

-

The Kill - 30 Seconds to Mars

The Kill

Do you really enjoy The Shining? Do you like 30 Seconds to Mars? Or perhaps you just enjoy seeing Jared Leto argue with his clone / twin? Either way, you are bound to like The Kill by 30 Seconds to Mars. Consider it a little tribute to The Shining, just without Jack Nicholson.

-

Purple People Eater - Sheb Wooley

Purple People Eater

When it comes to Halloween music videos, sometimes you just have to go with a classic. A must-see for every Halloween party is the Purple People Eater by Sheb Wooley. The quality of the video is not so great, but what can you expect from such an old video? The song is fun and that is all that matters.

-

Sittin' Up with the Dead - Ray Stevens

Sittin' Up with the Dead

Perhaps comedy is more your thing than horror. Also, you might feel the need to include some country music in your Halloween celebration. Well, that's no problem! You can play Ray Stevens' classic country music video Sittin' Up with the Dead . Learn all about Uncle Fred and the scary adventures the family encounters with his dead body. It may not be the classiest video you've ever seen, but it might be one of the funniest.

-

What If - Creed

What If

For those of you that love the Scream movies, have no fear; of course, no list would be complete without What If by Creed. The song is featured in the movie Scream 3 and is a favorite on the soundtrack. Make sure to check out the video since David Arquette stars in it.

-

Are You Ready for Freddy? - The Fat Boys

Are You Ready for Freddy?

Oh snap! Even the Fat Boys had to create a song about the infamous Freddy Krueger. So if old school rap is more your thing, you do not want to miss Are You Ready for Freddy? Not only do you get to enjoy a classic rap song, you also get to see Freddy himself make an attempt to rap. You sure don't want to miss out on this fun video.

-

Come to Daddy - Aphex Twin

Come to Daddy

Put the children to bed and prepare for some nightmares. Come to Daddy is one of the craziest, most disturbing videos on this list. If you want to be really creeped out, check out Aphex Twin's twisted video for Come to Daddy. It is guaranteed to confuse you and inspire nightmares for days.

-

Somebody's Watching Me - Rockwell

Somebody's Watching Me

Never has paranoia been so catchy! Check out this totally weird video by Rockwell called Somebody's Watching Me. Apparently, everyone is out to get our hero Rockwell in this music video. It might be strange, but it sure is a good song. If you are wondering who is singing the background vocals, it is Michael Jackson. You can never go wrong with special background vocals from Michael Jackson.

-

Give - Cold

Give

When it comes to creepy Halloween music videos, who can pass up a video with a mutant lab dog? No one can pass up such a thing! So you'd better check out one of the greatest videos ever by Cold called Give. While you are at it, you might just see a special guest appearance by Fred Durst.

-

Her Ghost in the Fog - Cradle of Filth

Her Ghost in the Fog

Did you really think we could get through an entire Halloween music video list without including Cradle of Filth? Of course not! The real challenge was finding something PG rated to include in this list. So check out Her Ghost in the Fog. You may never understand what Dani Filth is screaming, but you will enjoy it anyway.

-

Addams Family Groove - MC Hammer

Addams Family Groove

In a time not that long ago, not every single old television show or movie had been remade into a new Hollywood movie. No, when the Addams Family became a new movie, it was actually still exciting. We even welcomed it and enjoyed the movie! And yes, during this time, everyone was absolutely loving MC Hammer. What a perfect time for MC Hammer to create the Addams Family Groove!

Buy Yourself Some Scary Tunes on CD

By the way...

I do not own the rights to any of these music videos. They are being shared via YouTube. Some videos are from the official YouTube channel for the artist. Others were uploaded by fans of the artists. Each video is an original video though; I did not feature any music or videos that are "fan remixes." There are many more scary songs out there, but they do not have an actual music video. Those songs will perhaps get their very own hub in the near future. For now, please enjoy these scary (or not so scary) Halloween music videos.
