Christmas movies are a great way of creating memories, bringing the family together, and getting everyone in the Holiday spirit. Here are some clean, beautiful movies with inspiring stories for families to watch together.

The Christmas Candle is a really great Christmas story. The scenery, and production are beautiful and magnificent. It's in an area in England known as the Cotswalds. The story is uplifting, perfect, ideal for families to watch together.

It is about a young minister who's plan is to bring electricity to an English village during the late 20th Century. This threatens a local tradition which involved a candle capable of delivering Christmas miracles. There is a local legend that an angel visits the quaint hamlet of Gladbury every 25 years to touch a candle made by the local candlemaker, to give one family a Christmas miracle. You will have to view the movie to see what happens next.

The Christmas Secret (2014)

This heartwarming movie is about the pressures that a single mom goes through during Christmas, but there is secret in a family heirloom that will change her life forever. A movie that is funny, about family and has a very inspiring message. This was viewed on Hallmark's Movies and Mysteries. This was a very special movie and one Christmas movie that I can watch over and over again.

Christmas for a Dollar

America is in the midst of the Great Depression, and the Kamp family is struggling, as a result of Mrs. Kamp's death about a year ago. Mr. Kamp has bills that are piling up. The oldest, Verna who is eighteen does what she can to take care of the family. The seventeen year old wants to work, but his father disagrees with his decision. The rest of the the kids are not expecting any Christmas presents until the father receives a dollar in coins. This is a wonderful family movie with a message of hope and shows the real meaning of Christmas.

Christmas with Tucker

This is a beautiful heartwarming, family movie that you will enjoy. It is about George, a 13-year-old boy who is facing his most recent dad's death. He now lives with his grandparents on their Kansas farm. His mom moved to Minnesota to cope with her grief. While he was living with his grandparents he helps out in the farm, make friends, an also has a dog he befriends to help him take on what lies ahead of him. It is going to be an important Christmas for George as he learns many things about life, family and responsibility.



Christmas Oranges(2012)

This is based on the book Christmas Oranges by Linda Bethers and Ben Sowards.It is about Rose who was left as a baby on the steps of a Greenwood Orphanage, where the loving Mrs. Hartley, takes Rose in along with the other children. The children enjoy a home like environment.

But then Rose has to leave the only home she knew and transferred to Irongates Orphanage that is totally the opposite of what she knew. It is very strict there and not much love and attention demonstrated. But Rose is grateful for the few good things there, one of them is Joe, the kind brother of the headmaster. He brings an orange for each child to hang on the Christmas tree. A beautiful, heartwarming film.

Coming Home for Christmas (2013)

Two sisters who have not been speaking for five years. When their parents decide to separate, they begin to come together. But this Christmas they set in motion a plan to reunite their parents and also find a way for the whole family to spend it in the house their family grew up in. There is one problem. Someone else lives there. Who actually lives there and how does this individual fit in to the story. You will have to watch and see. This movie has a beautiful message about the importance of marriage, love, family, forgiveness. It has cute scenes of humor.





The Christmas Miracle

A blizzard and road conditions causes eight strangers to meet up and to seek shelter at an old church and there they spent Christmas Eve at a church. During their time with each other, they learn things about one another and from one another. They tell stories about their lives and what they are going through from the blizzard. Through a terrible situation, they endure, come together, work together to make miracles happen in their lives and help each other. It is a truly amazing movie and story. It shows the real meaning of Christmas season.


Our First Christmas

A widowed father with his kids and widowed mother with her kids recently got married. The stepsiblings get along fairly okay. But as their first Christmas approaches, each person has different way of celebrating the holidays. Each side of the family want to respect their own holiday traditions, because of their late parents. Problems begin to occur. But the married couple are determined to make their first Christmas perfect. Is it possible? Can they come to a reasonable solution? You will have to watch and see. A Hallmark movie showing some challenges in blended families.

Christmas Hope

Christmas can be a very hard time for some people, especially for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. In this movie, Social worker Patty focuses into finding homes for children in need after suffering her personal loss. But she takes in for one night Emily who lost her mom in a car accident, who had nowhere to go and no home to put in. Gradually, she begins to connect with her. This is a wonderful movie that brings healing to hurting individuals in a very unique, profound way. ABC's revenge Madeline Stowe stars in this.

The Christmas Lodge

On a her way to the mountains, Mary once again came across the lodge. This is where she has spent Christmas as a child and the memories comes back. The Lodge is totally run down. There are a lot of work that is needed to rebuild the lodge, so with some encouragement, she takes up the project of restoring it and meets people along the way. This is a wonderful, beautiful story about the power and ability of helping others and the importance of family and relationships. It will make you want to stay at a lodge during Christmas.
