My birthday was approaching and I couldn't think of anything to ask for. I mean I didn't really need anything or want anything. Then sitting there at family night watching a video of Nancy Drew it hit what I wanted. (Our youngest daughter is 7 years old, so the choices are narrowed a bit.)
Anyway, there is one scene where Nancy essentially guilt bribes a clerk into giving her some information by giving him a homemade blondie. I wanted one of those right there and then. It looked soooo good! So I put down the gauntlet. If she wanted to get me something, the I wanted the blondie!

My wife then went about trying to create the perfect blondie brownie recipe. I know she experimented a bit but I can also tell you that the result was awesome. How do I know...because they barely were out of the oven and cut before I had a bite!

That is my favorite time to eat a blondie because they are warm soft and chewy. When the cool down a bit, I like the outer edges because the Butterscotch chips melt into the crust and make it very yummy.
