Edible cake toppers are very popular in cake decorating today. There is a nice selection of personalized cake images to choose from for your cake. These edible images are very simple to apply to any home baked birthday cake and they look wonderful on your finished creation! You can also purchased edible cupcake toppers if you are making cupcakes instead.

Call of Duty Cakes

There are Call of Duty toy figures available which you could use to decorate your cake. Many of these figures measure between 5"-6" just the right size for your cake topper. Simply bake your cake, decorate with a camouflage design (see below) and then top with your Call of Duty figure.

Another idea would be to top your cake with plastic Army men figures. You could use a few of them to create a real looking battle. These Army men figures can be used as cupcake toppers as well like the Call of Duty cupcakes featured above.

You could also top your birthday cake with a plastic grenade, fighter helicopter and/or army tank.

Cupcake Liners

These camouflage cupcake liners would be perfect for your army or Call of Duty birthday celebration. Each package contains 42 grease proof baking cups.

Make a Camouflage Cake

The great thing about creating a camouflage cake is that there is no right or wrong way to do it!

The camouflage design is a random design which you can make in any shape or pattern you like. As long as you use the right camouflage colors, you are good to go.

Below I have featured Wilton Icing Paste as well as Choco-Pan rolled fondant. Each of these cake decorating supplies come in brown, black and shades of green. Simply use a mixture of these colors to create your camouflage design. With the icing paste, you can use a bit more or a bit less of the green and brown, to make the lighter or darker shades.

Also, to create an Army Tank cake like the one featured here, you can use a 9 x 13 cake pan for the base and a loaf pan to form the top part of the tank. You just need to trim the loaf cake to get the look you want. For the tires, you can used cookies, mini chocolate donuts, etc.

How To Make Camo Cupcakes

In addition to making camouflage icing, you can also make the entire inside of the cake camouflage as well.

Jessie of the Practically Living blog, has step-by-step instructions with photos on how she created fun camouflage cupcakes.

All you need to make these awesome camouflage cupcakes is white cake mix, chocolate cake mix and green food coloring.

The birthday party guests will be so surprised when they see the inside of your camouflage cake or cupcakes!

I just played this game for the first time the other day. It's a hard game to get used to! I can see why it's so popular though.
