6 Ways to Celebrate Veterans Day in 2014

Free Entree for Veterans at CPK

All active and retired members of the military are invited to dine at California Pizza Kitchen for a complimentary entrée when dining in one of the restaurants. Entrees includes a variety of pizzas, full size salads and pasta on November 11.

Come in uniform or bring military ID or something to show proof of service. This offer is good at any CPK in the U.S.

The offer is excluded at all CPKs in airports, stadiums, universities, Mirage Hotel, and Guam locations.

Ice Cream

Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream for Veterans

On Veterans Day, for every scoop of ice cream sold, Baskin-Robbins will donate 10 cents of the purchase to the United Service Organizations.

Order a scoop of First Class Camouflage ice cream at Baskin-Robbins in honor of Veterans Day. It's a delicious combination of chocolate, salty caramel, and cake flavors. It can be placed in a camouflage waffle cone and waffle bowl.

Baskin-Robbins is also making a a First Class Camouflage layered sundae with a caramel praline topping, hot fudge, and Oreo cookie pieces.

Free Dessert With a Pizza

The day after Veterans Day is National Pizza Day on Nov. 12. To celebrate, all three Michael's Pizzeria locations will be holding a "pizza selfie" promotion. Diners will need to take a selfie with their favorite pizza or pizza maker and use #MichaelsPizzeria to receive a free dessert.

Pizza aficionados should upload an image to one or all of the following social platforms with the tag #MichaelsPizzeria. Facebook is MichaelsPizzeria, Twitter is @TrueNaplesPizza and Instagram @MichaelsPizzeria).

Guests show their server the post and select a gelato, cannolis, pizzetta alla nutella, or tiramisu free of charge. The promotion is limited to one dessert per guest.

Rock & Brews El Segundo

Rock & Brews El Segundo, the family-friendly restaurant co-founded by KISS front men Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, is celebrating Veterans Day on November 11 by offering both Veterans and active military personnel a complimentary Ultimate Burger or Pulled Pork Sandwich throughout the day.

      There were a lot of restaurants around our town celebrating veterans this year. I love that we honor them across the country in this way. What a nice tribute to those who served to keep our country safe and free.
