Ways to Celebrate National Coffee Day on Sept 29

Coffee Day is celebrated in the United States, Canada, England, Ethiopia, Finland, Malaysia, and Sweden on September 29 and has turned into International Coffee Day. It is also celebrated on other days in other countries.

To celebrate, many people simply consume this popular beverage. On this day, some shops will offer free or discounted coffee.

The day is also used to promote fair trade practices and to raise awareness of the plight of coffee farmers.

There are also greeting cards and e-cards to add a festive touch to the occasion.

You can celebrate coffee day all throughout the day. Maybe you could think about trying a different flavor of coffee or drink it at a different time of day than you usually do.

First Cup of Coffee

The first cup of coffee of the day is especially enticing. As the Folgers commercial states, you can wake up to the aroma of the coffee. The coffee will give you lots of energy with its caffeine.

This beverage is also wonderful with breakfast, no matter what kind of breakfast you have. It is great with just toast or a bagel, donuts or cookies, and even more wonderful with a full breakfast of eggs, hash browns, bacon or sausage, and toast.

Where to Find Free Coffee on Coffee Day

This list will change from year to year, but the following companies generally participate in celebrating National Coffee Day. Look for deals at bakeries, fast food chains, coffee shops, and convenience stores. Some of these companies will simply provide the offer, while others require a coupon.

Caribou Coffee

Dunkin Donuts

Einstein Bros. Bagels

Krispy Kreme

Tim Hortons

Coffee Break

After you have gone to work and worked for a couple of hours, it is time for a coffee break. This break helps relieve some of the morning stress, and gives you a chance to catch up with the latest gossip with your coworkers. It also helps revive the drop in energy as the caffeine of the breakfast coffee wanes.

Afternoon Coffee

While some people have coffee with their lunch, most will wait until dinner for their next cup. People who are not working may enjoy having an afternoon cup of coffee to catch up with their neighbor or old friends. Having coffee helps provide a short, relaxing respite in the otherwise busy day.

Coffee and Dessert

This delightful beverage is a wonderful complement to most desserts. It is tasty with cakes, cookies, and many pastries. Since it can be used as an ingredient in many desserts, such as coffee cake and coffee ice cream, it can even serve as dessert.

Coffee liquor also makes for a wonderful after-dinner beverage. Kalhua Coffee Liqueur offers a variety of recipes for mixed drinks.

National and International Coffee Day Celebration

Even though we tend to drink coffee every day, we can take the time to appreciate the coffee growers and the establishments that bring coffee to us. Celebrating Coffee Day is even better when we can find a resource to get our coffee for free.

We can celebrate this day and enjoy the caffeine buzz from the beginning of the day and all throughout the day.

Once you are done celebrating Coffee Day, check out these other holidays you can celebrate.

Jaye - Same for me - 2 cups of coffee first thing in the morn, lots of iced tea throughout the rest of the day - and I also live in the southern US. Must be a southern thing. Thanks for the Vote-Up!

I celebrate Coffee Day every day with at least two cups of my favorite brew in the morning and one in the afternoon. I also drink a lot of iced tea (after all, I live in the southern USA), but can't do without my coffee....

I love coffee. It gets the brain going in the morning. Thanks for bringing the day to our attention. Maybe I can find a Starbucks that's giving away free cups of coffee on the 29th. Sharing so that others know about the National Coffee Day in time to possibly get a free cup.

What an interesting hub. I had no idea there was a National Coffee Day. I love, love, love coffee and enjoy creating my own blends. But I have to admit I haven't spent enough time thinking about the sources, economics, and politics of coffee. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be paying more attention to this beverage I'd hate to be without and also looking for those deals next year. Up, useful, interesting!

Thanks vox vocis. I am sorry that you can't drink coffee now, but the scent is often better than the taste anyway. I am glad you can enjoy Coffee Day even if you can't drink coffee.

I'm a huge coffee fan, but don't drink it for more than six months now due to stomach problems. Coffee is a killer if you have gastritis. At least, I can smell it when I make it for my husband :) Anyway, I'm glad there's a National Coffee Day because 99% of human mankind would probably say that coffee is important in their lives.

Teaches12345 - I hope you thoroughly enjoy your two cup coffee celebration - especially if you can get some dessert with it as well. It does seem like there is a day for everything now, and coffee seems like a great thing to celebrate.

An engaging and informative hub! Most of my relatives, especially my father, are fond of coffee. My parents often dunk biscuits in their coffee. My father is quite fond of Irish coffee pastries. Cappuccino and Mocha are other family favorite variants of coffee. Now I know where to find free coffee thanks to you so that I share this information with my parents.

Thanks for SHARING. Useful, Awesome & Interesting. Voted up & shared

Yep Effer, isn't it amazing! I celebrate every single morning, but it is nice to be able to enjoy a free cup now and then. Coffee is a delight, and doesn't really need to be all dolled up to be enjoyed, but I do enjoy the flavors now and then for a special treat.

Thanks MK - it is an exciting holiday, since you aren't required to buy anyone anything. Simply take them out someplace that offers a free drink, and you are all set. I do hope I didn't overstuff the article - it is hard to say "coffee" without actually saying it.

MT - I am SO excited to know there is a National Coffee Day - I even love saying the words. Love the Hub, well-written and conveyed a few things I did not know - important things like where to get coffee on National Coffee Day - I'm not keyword stuffing, I just like saying it! Well, now - I'm off to get a cup...

What? National Coffee Day? How did I not know about this? I'm a huge coffee lover from way back! Funny, but as much as I love coffee, I've never been fond of any of the "coffee-flavored" foods and beverages. Just give me a freshly ground, freshly brewed, great brand of good coffee! Oh yes, I am Happy!

      Thanks for the INFO!..........UP+++
