Choosing The Right Graduation Gift

Updated on December 5, 2006
Finding the right gift for a graduate can be simple, whether that person is graduating from high school or college. Take into consideration the lifestyle change of the graduate. Most presumably, this person is moving away to live on their own. Therefore, the graduate will probably need furniture, appliances, or kitchen utencils. Or, if they do not yet have transportation, money would also come in handy for saving up to buy a car. If neither of these situations apply, a thoughtful momento to remember the occasion by works just as well. A nice watch or pen, or even a family heirloom are appropriate gifts for such an occasion. Another idea would be to buy a gift they could use right away, like tickets to an event or a short vacation. Any of these ideas would work for a thoughtful gift for a graduate.
