Christmas Angels in ASCII Text Art

Updated on August 14, 2014

ASCII Angels and Beyond

I especially like the angel created by "unknown" which I have posted at the top of this article. It's kind of sad to find ASCII art by people unknown. I try to keep any initials on the original ASCII art when I add it to a post here or in my own blog. Of course, all my own ASCII work has my initials (ldb).

I hope anyone using ASCII art is an 'angel' and keeps the artist initials on the ASCII artwork too. It's a small enough thing to ask in exchange for having free access to use the art.

Making an ASCII art angel is only as tricky as you make it. My problem with them is the image I want to create (in my mind) never seems to work out the way I planned. I've never been satisfied with an angel I have created in ASCII art. But, I'm still working on it.

They seem simple enough in construction: a flowing sort of gown, a face, a halo and wings. Not too tough, right?

As always, let me know if you try to create an ASCII picture, an angel or anything else for Christmas and beyond.

I didn't make all of these. I'm not that fond of my own angelic creations. I may work on getting something prettier this Christmas. Mine are the angels with my initials "ldb".
