10 DIY Valentines Day Gifts for Him & for Her - Super Easy to Make
Sweet Valentine's Day Gifts You Can Make
Valentine's Day is one of the most romantic days of the year (anniversary being number one if you ask me) and gift giving is a part of this holiday. I've always said the best gift is the one that comes from the heart and the only thing that can top that is if it's handmade (and comes from the heart). What better day to give something you personally made than this one?
I've collected some of the sweetest and relatively easy to make gifts out there and I think you can't go wrong with any of these.
Do you prefer homemade gifts or store bought ones?
Crepe Paper Hanging Hearts
This project does require some patience but the results are totally worth it! You can get all the supplies for under a dollar so you won't be spending much money.
The original project is pretty small (and adorable) but your options are virtually limitless so you can make one giant crepe paper rose heart (or any other shape). You could also decorate the candy box with this technique.
Valentine Pillow Bunting
Bunting always makes a great decoration! It's easy to make even if you're not skilled with sewing (I admit I am not).
Have you ever gifted homemade coupons?
Print your own coupons!
This is a great idea as possibilities are virtually limitless - you can give sweet and personal coupons such as a coupon for a hug, kiss, massage and similar or you can make them more "high end" like a coupon for spa day, a day at the mall, ice skating...
I've gifted coupons on many occasions and they are always a welcomed gift.
Make a Valentine's Day Bouquet that newer Wilts
You don't need much skill to make a gorgeous bouquet of red crepe paper roses and they make a great alternative to your classical (and often expensive at this time of the year) red rose bouquet. Plus they will last much longer than your regular roses.
A drop of rose essential oil will make all the difference.
Sweet, sweet love on a lollipop
If you're a sucker for a sucker this is a perfect gift to make for him or for her! Print out the bee or a butterfly add a lollipop and you're done!
I did this a couple of years ago and I've made a few butterflies and changed the covers of bed so they were green (you know butterflies on a meadow). I also made candy roses to go with it.
Hearts on the wall
Sneak into his (or her) office or workspace and make this hearty scenery. I think this is adorable and I plan on doing this this year.
You can pick up most of the supplies for this fun project at a dollar store.
These just scream to have "His" & "Hers" written on them.
The weather is CRAZY this year and it seems we'll have a cold Valentine's Day. Nothing better to warm up those hands than a pair of heart gloves. Super easy to make.
You can make two pairs - one for you and one for him/her and you two can mix and match your hearts.
Decorate a plate
You can make a personal cup or a plate by using porcelain pen and it will last forever but there's another way to decorate your dinnerware for just one special occasion with food coloring - genius!
To top it up you can also make something love themed food - a heart cake always makes a good impression.
Perfect gift for her!
Do you know a woman that wouldn't love her shoes? I've seen a lot of tutorials on how to change a pair of shoes into something even more glamorous but in all honesty I wouldn't advise you to touch her shoes (if they don't come out as you want them to and you end up ruining your shoes you could have the worst Valentine's day ever), instead you can make these great shoe clips which she can then attach to any pair of shoes she wants!
