Earth Day Birthday

Earth Day Birthday

Social Traffic and Earth Day Birthday Background

I would like to tell you a story, this story begins with most if not all, of these people not really knowing each other at all, yet all of them had one thing at heart. That one thing was that they were all business people, marketers and internet marketers who knew that they didn't fit in with the old way of doing business. Each of these people yearned for a different dynamic in their respective business areas, a way to do business with people that felt and thought the same way they did. Each of these people knew that business and marketing could respect the individual and show care and compassion in their approach to marketing, forming relationships with their customers and clients rather than selling to them.

Social Traffic -- Earth Day Birthday

On the scene came a leader, someone who spoke their language in his articles and posts online someone who was looking for recruits to help him build a multi-million dollar company in an historical way, using solely human capital, no cash. He spoke of ethics, community and a spiritual base for this company where it took a team of committed individuals with passion for change to change the face of marketing forever. To exert a collective influence across the entire web community and turn marketing online forever on its head. No longer would people be expected to buy from loud uncouth ad campaigns that insulted their intelligence.

Instead people would feel as if they were part of a community that had their best interests at heart and friends knowing their needs would offer solutions in the form of products or events or service that suited those needs. His vision was of a community of leaders who would take on social marketing as a way to build ongoing relationships with good people, rather than dollars signs waiting to be realised. As a very successful event marketer he knew it could be done, as long as he had the right team.

As you would expect the original group of people saw this leaders vision as their own, and spread the word and the group called Social Traffic Inc. was born. They understood Simon Fords vision, of a company that financed itself on human capital: time, adrenaline, tears and sweat and most of all heart. This is a 100% virtual social media marketing venture - saving the costs of infrastructure, equipment, office space, human capital in the form of employees, sales etc..

How about you? Would you like to join us, make history and know that Social Traffic Inc will give you the education you need to make full use of Web2.0 in all its vastness and in the end when you sit back knowing you have given of your best in the short-term as your investment in this company, you will be able to say to your friends that you helped organise and market the biggest party the world has ever seen. Go to Social Traffic to find out how you can become a part of the campaign.

Here at Social Traffic we are all learning the steps to an intricate dance and learning to dance those steps in time with one another. I have made some wonderful new friends, both taught and learned so much already and best of all am involved in our very first campaign.

A campaign after my own heart, one that proves that we can not only work together, but help save our planet at the same time, something I gladly do for free. As as group we are formulating an amazing vision for our company some of which are:

  • To be the foremost authority of social traffic and broad based marketing, reaching people not just demographics
  • To be the first company that all companies what to talk to when considering how to communicate with the rest of the world
  • To be the first truly globally minded company (not necessarily the first but the truest)
  • To be the first company with people as the single most important aspect of our endeavour
  • To be a business that contributes in many ways to enhance the lives of all people by being corporately and socially responsible

These are just a few of the goals of members of our group and there are far more, the calibre of these people both in business and at heart is of the highest standard and I for one am so very proud to be counted among them. What about you? Have you thought about coming on board and playing your part?

Imagine being a part of this history making company? Seth Godin says of the New Marketing:

"If the New Marketing can be characterized by just one idea, it’s this: Ideas that spread through groups of people are far more powerful than ideas delivered at an individual. Social change, education, new-product launches, religious movements…it doesn’t matter, the story is the same. Movements are at the heart of change and growth. A movement — an idea that spreads with passion through a community and leads to change — is far more powerful than any advertisements ever could be.”

We plan on making his words come true! And our very first campaign proves it.

Earth Day Birthday -- Our First Campaign

Our very first marketing campaign is for a non-profit and truly worthwhile cause: Earth Day! Are you ready to help us help the Earth Day organisers put on the largest party the world has ever seen?

Earth Day began with tow men, John McConnell who was so inspired when he saw a photo of earth from space shot by the Apollo 10 team that he used it to design an Earth Day Flag. The other was a politician who was environmentally conscious named Gaylord Nelson who was so outraged by the destruction he witnessed in an horrific oil spill off the coast of Santa Barbara he organised the first Earth Day celebration in the US. That first party was a grassroots demonstration of people power and the response was electric as the America people took his message to heart and organised events all over America resulting in over 20 million party goers.
Best of all because the government saw that the people meant business and wanted an environmental change they passed a bill designating April 22 as a national day to celebrate the earth and from that came bills passing the creation of the United States environmental Protection Agency and the passage of the Endangered Species, Clean Air, and Clean Water Acts.

Since that time the Earth Day celebration has gone global and in 1990 about 141 countries included themselves in the celebration. Environmental news is big news and there are literally hundreds of green and conservation organisations and groups across the world. Governments have taken notice and the power of the people has them passing bills to drop emissions, encourage people to use clean solutions and change their thinking.

This celebration of our Earth is a party that is beyond borders, religious beliefs, or dogma, bringing everyone on the face of the earth together as one just for one day as we all say together in one voice, “We love our earth and we want to preserve her for our future and the future of our children!” Our earth is too important to allow her to be abused and raped until there is nothing left for our children or our children’s children to care for. We owe her so much she provide everything we need to survive shelter, food, water, air, community, love and so much more.

There are many of you out there who know they want to help such a cause and yet have not found a place to channel your passion and purpose, we want to give you that platform. Our Earth Day Birthday campaign will require the efforts of a lot of people to help organise, channel and promote the biggest worldwide celebration of earth ever.

Come join us in spreading the word about our party with a purpose. We want you to be a part of our campaign helping us create the most successful and celebrated Earth Day ever. In return Social Traffic will lead you on an educational and fun journey through using social media platforms in a carefully structured marketing campaign, under the guidance of a mentor and working alongside some of the industries most capable and knowledgeable new media marketers.

We plan to make history, and to be an amazing success, we want Obama’s media team to give us Kudos and we want to who our support for the great conservation movements. We want to show the world that change is coming and that we can be successful, profitable - and heart centred and add value to the world!

It's important not to lose focus now that earthday has passed. Weneed to try to educate as many people as possible concerning how we live our lives, and what impact we have on our planet.

We all need to stand up and be counted, and hopefully as a community we can make a difference and help give our kids a future to look forward to.

      Hey Doug,

      Great hub!

Social Traffic is certainly powering along right now and if this isn't living, breathing proof that old school marketing tactics are dead in the water and that social media provides the perfect platform for relationship marketing to flourish for the benefit of all consumers then I'll hitch a lift to work for the next two years (30 miles either way) to make a difference..

      Great work!
