Updated on July 18, 2014

CELEBRATE WITH AN EASTER WREATH

Celebrated by Christians and non-Christians, Easter is a blend of Christianity and paganism. decorating with wreaths appeal to both groups. The circular shape of the wreath is a symbol of eternity and ever-lasting life in the Christian world. Decorated with colorful eggs, symbols of rebirth and new life, the Easter wreath also welcomes spring.

Hang it on the front door of your home as a way to greet visitors throughout the Easter season. You can make an it or purchase one ready to hang. Making your own is a perfect way to involve the kids in decorating for the Easter season. Any holiday or special occasion is an opportunity to begin or continue a family tradition.

BEAUTIFUL PINK EASTER WREATH AVAILABLE AT AMAZON

One idea for the season is the tradition of a "kindness wreath". It can be hung inside your home or outside. Each family member is given ten or more ribbons in bright spring colors. During the week every time a family member performs an act of kindness, they tie one of their ribbons to the "kindness wreath". This can be a separate wreath or the traditional wreath for the season can also be the "kindness wreath" by tying the ribbons to it. At the end of the week, the family can talk about the acts of kindness that earned their ribbons. This would be a wonderful family tradition.

You can also make a beautiful Living Wreath and decorate it with colorful eggs for Easter. After Easter, you still have the Living Wreath. Another option is the Laurel Wreath. Make your Laurel Wreath and decorate it for Easter.
