Father’s Day Gift Ideas, Spa Packages in NYC

Updated on May 12, 2011

June 19, the day we are going to celebrate Father’s Day this year. The idea of celebrating Father’s Day came after Mother’s Day was established to honor motherhood. This is the time everyone gets busy to find a nice present for their dads.

There are a number of options available to buy a gift for your father. You can buy a gift of your father’s liking such as sports gift or BBQ gifts or anything that interests your father. You can check some specialized men’s accessories or perhaps spa packages for men. A personalized gift of your liking is another idea. Whatever you choose add a nice Father’s Day gift card and a photo frame with a cool picture of you and your dad with that. Wanted to say something to your dad but never had the opportunity, write that in the gift card, this is your chance!

Below are a few Father’s Day gift ideas,

Sports Gifts

Your father loves to play golf, how about some golf equipments. Golf balls, special golf polo shirt, water bottle or any other item that you think your father will like. Dad likes some other sports like soccer or Baseball, you can gift him his favorite team jersey. Or you can think of some gaming entertainment system that will allow him to fulfill his dream of becoming whatever he wanted to be, a race car driver or a great football player, through simulation.

Father’s Day Spa Packages

So, your gift for your mother on Mother’s Day was a spa package. How about some pampering gift for your father too! Say, your love for your parents is equal and so you are giving the same gift to both of them -it’s a joke but spa specials designed for men can be something you should look into. Most spas today have special pampering service for men and are offering special packages on the eve of Father’s Day.

If you live in New York, check a few spa packages NYC spas are offering. You might find something interesting for your dad. Unless of course your Papa is Old school and won’t come near a spa.

Men’s Accessories

Wallet, pocket watch, Kindle 3G, pocket knife, pendant, multipurpose tool are a few top selling gifts. You can choose from these or search for more. Maybe some stationary gifts like Note Cards, Calendar, personalized envelopes etc. Whatever you choose try to add some personal touch to it or at least something that will remind your father about you.

Other Gift Ideas for Your Father

Concerned about your dad’s health, you can give him a membership to a local fitness center. Most fitness centers have programs for people of all ages and have facilities like indoor pools and basketball grounds that your father might like. Buying a magazine subscription can be a great gift too. In whatever topic your father might be interested, you will surely find some nice magazines on that. And a delivery every month will keep your father occupied for a long time.

The best thing to do, in my opinion, is to visit your Dad and give the present yourself (whatever it is) and spend some time together with your old man.
