Are you looking for a fun, group gift idea that is appropriate for a family? Sometimes, when every member of a family is on your shopping list, it just makes sense to purchase one nice gift for the entire group rather than buying small items for each individual person. If you’re thinking about purchasing group gifts for some of the families on your holiday shopping list, here are a few ideas you may want to consider.

Four Fun Group Activity Gift Ideas for Families

1. Movie Night Gift Certificates

Contact the movie theater closet to where the people you are shopping for to find out what kind of family night gift certificate packages are available. You can often find combination packs that include several admission tickets and snack items. Considering how much it costs to take an entire family to the movies these days, this is a gift that is sure to be appreciated.

2. Mini Golf Gift Certificates

Purchasing gift certificates for an evening out a local miniature golf venue is a great way to provide one of your favorite families with a group gift that will allow the members to enjoy spending quality time together. Throw in a few extra playing passes. That way, the family members can play multiple games – or maybe they’ll even invite you to tag along.

3. Sports Team Logo Merchandise

If the family that you are shopping for enjoys attending or watching sporting events together, consider purchasing an appropriate set of logo merchandise in honor of their favorite team. For example, if the entire family enjoys attending football or baseball games at mom or dad’s alma mater, consider purchasing school logo stadium chairs, stadium blankets or tailgating supplies. If the family members enjoy watching college or professional sports together at home, consider purchasing team logo decorations or a set of beverage tumblers or pompoms that includes at least one for every person.

4. Outdoor Game Set

If the family that you are shopping for has a nice size backyard, consider purchasing an outdoor game set that the members can play together. There are a number of fun options you may want to consider, including croquet, badminton, volleyball, bocce ball, horseshoes and more. The lucky recipients will be able to enjoy using your generous gift time and time again. You just might find yourself being invited to join in the fun from time to time.

Great ideas! Uhm, I've some more! :D

What about tickets to a theme park?

I'm also thinking of gift certificates for a reasonably priced buffet.

Hhhhm, I'm also inclined to mention free passes to resorts.

I'm a penny pincher, admittedly, so sometimes I just buy a gallon of ice cream, bring it home to my family, so we can have it while watching DVDs. Hahaha! :D

Family activity gifts ideas is a fabulous topic. More family activities would solve some of the problems families face! There needs to be a family day each week (or at least each month) in which no one else is allowed to join the family--not in person or via technology.

This would be a time to strengthen family bonds by spending time together at home on an outing that keeps everyone together and talking--not something that would allow any family member to segregate themselves.

Bravo on your hub that encourages family time!
