I am a photographer, published artist and writer. I am a makeup artist student, and studying herbs. I love to write and share my view points

The Search Begins

I write a lot about this topic, not because it gives me thrills to be scared, but because I hope throughout my writing I am able to help others and also continue to find my own answers. One of the most horrible things is to not feel comfortable living in your home, which is suppose to be your safe haven. The one thing that I have been able to bring to focus is the fact that often people will not speak about their haunting experiences for the fear of being ridiculed and/or not truly believing in what is happening is real. While other will accept it and bring in paranormal investigating teams to help fix the hauntings.

For me personally, I have been involved with the paranormal just about all of my life. My first ghostly invitation was when I was a very young child and I have lived in several haunted locations. The one thing I have learned the hard way is the differences between a real haunted house and the Halloween Haunted Houses that are created to spook everyone.

Never Feeling Alone

This is a question you need to ask yourself in private: How many times has your child started to tell you haunted ghost stories and your first thought was: "what an imagination that child has!". Its okay to be honest with yourself, I mean I know for a fact that many children do have an active imagination and can tell some really scary stories. However......

When it comes to living in a real haunted house and experiencing real hauntings, it is time to stop and listen. Young children and animals can sense a spiritual presence before anyone else. Children are born with psychic abilities and as they get older because of the environment they change and/or something causes them to shut down their psychic abilities.

Animals (I believe) are born and able to sense spirits because they are able to keep that "innocence" about them. I know for a fact that both of my animals have been able to sense spirits in the house, which I will explain in a little further down the page.

Never feeling alone in your home, is like having a set of eyes always watching you.

Ghost Hunting Equipment

Ghost, Spirits and Hauntings

When it comes to ghost, spirits and hauntings, there are a lot of proven facts and there are also a lot of hoax. I honestly believe when it comes to the paranormal, it is up to the individual to do the research and get professional help from a Paranormal Investigating Team. Only then should you make up your mind if ghost and spirits exist or not.

Real life ghost hauntings are all not like the the paranormal investigation you see on television. If you are looking for a good paranormal investigator be sure to do your research and do your homework. I know they use different paranormal equipment which I do not know a lot about. But I do know that ghost hunters equipment will include Thermal Imaging Cameras, Electronic Voice Phenomena Meters, Motion Detectors, Audio Cassette Recorders, EMF Detectors, camcorders and more.

A paranormal investigating team will come into your home and measure for cold spots and hot spots, try to pick up voices with their Electronic Voice Phenomena Meter take images and watch for moving objects. If your home is indeed haunted with ghosts, spirits and/or different entities they will refer you to other sources who will come in and rid your home of these things.

Are all ghost there to scare you?

As odd as it may sound, all ghost and spirits are not there to scare you or drive you away from your home. Danu (my yorkie) and myself have both experienced a spirit cat that lives in our home with another ghost. How do I know there is a ghost cat in my home? Believe this or not, one night while I was cutting vegetables for dinner, I felt this little furry critter around my legs. I actually felt the tail of the cat wrap around my leg. Anyone who has had a cat knows the feeling I am talking about. Needless to say, when I looked down nothing was there that you could see. The lady who use to own this before us loved cats and had a ton of them.

Often Danu will sit by the love seat and just stare up towards the sitting area as if someone was sitting there wanting to play with him. There have been times when he sat there and barked. I have seen moving shadows from the corner of my eye and have experienced other things. But the main point here is this: not all ghost and spirits are there to harm you. I have spoken to many, many people and they have shared that they too have visitors in their home and they know they are not there to harm them. Often people will tell me they smell bacon cooking or they can smell cigar smoke except there is not bacon cooking and no one in the home smokes. So my answer to the question: Are all ghost there to scare you? My answer is "No".

Please do not misunderstand me, there are also evil spirits and negative energies in the world that do want to bring harm to you. I do not write articles, research or talk about these things, in my opinion that is for professionals who do nothing but research those entities.
