Good Things to Get for Your Birthday

What are Some Good Things to Get for Your Birthday?

Birthdays are certainly special events to pay much attention to. Children especially those looking forward to celebrating their 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th or 18th birthday just to mention few, will never joke with their special day, of course, they see it as a happy moment which should come with lots of beautiful gifts. It’s true that we all love to receive great presents on our special day. Now, what will you say when someone ask you what you want for your birthday? Do you even know that you need to plan ahead, awesome list of unique gift ideas that are germane to you?

On your special day you have to make yourself happy. You might be expecting gifts from your schoolmates, coworkers, friends and relatives, have in mind that those gifts might turn out to be the ones you don’t really want. Now, rather than waiting for people to get you some of these much needed stuffs, buying yourself some good things for this special day would allow you to have your own unique gift that you love to have. No one knows you better then yourself, no one knows what you want and need. You have to be good to yourself, so create a list of gifts you really want and treat yourself well. Find some ideas below, and don’t forget to share with your loved ones so that they too will have ideas on what to buy.

1. Shoe:

A great pair of shoes will indeed make you feel great and comfortable with your appearance. So I think it’s a good idea if you can get yourself a pair of shoes. You can get yourself a relatively simple one but very good. But take caution when it comes to online shopping for shoes. Buy shoes that would be comfortable for all year and that would go well with any dress.

2. Clothes:

On your special day you can make yourself happy by buying new clothes so that nothing whatsoever will bring you down on your special day. Wear something that would make you feel comfortable and confident about your appearance. Again if you think you need more clothes, probably you’re tired of wearing your old clothes or they are getting worn out and you know you can really afford it then get yourself clothes. Nice clothes affect your self-image and boost your self-confidence, if you freshen up your wardrobe with new outfits is a way to strengthen one’s confidence, and improving your societal value. To cap it all, clothes are a daily necessity. These are some of the stores you can get cute outfits; Forever 21, Wet Seal, Charlotte Russe, Vanity, Maurices, Kohls, Macys, American Eagle, Walmart, Aeropostale, Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch. Although, I'm not sure what your style is, but I know Macys has some hot designer wears that are smart and maybe casual for a couple of different types of individuals. You can stand out more on your birthday party if you wear the dress you have never worn before and believe me you’ll receive lots of warm compliments from friends and well-wishers.

3. Vacation:

You can have a trip to important tourist attraction sites or buy an airplane ticket if that’s what it will take to visit relatives and see the world. Visit historical places and tourist centers where you can do many things such as beach activities, bird watching, Island hopping, shark feeding, snowboarding and yachting. In Paris, there are lot of fun things to do, you can visit Eiffel tower, Musee du Louvre , Musee Nissim de Camondo, and many more.

4. Perfume:

You can get yourself perfume that will smell really good on you. There are lots of good perfume brand out there that is sweet, fresh and affordable, but I want to point out that the best-selling fragrance may smell bad on you if you did not consider your body chemistry before buying it. So it is advisable to first get some samples and see how it will react on your body. Again, it's worth looking into what the most popular perfumes are right now and then go to the shopping mall with the list and try them on your body. However, these are few that comes to mind, Calvin Klein CK One, Carolina Herrera 212 Men, Acqua di Gio, Eternity, Paco Rabanne 1 Million Eau de Toilette among so many others.

5. Birthday cake:

You can buy your birthday cake in bakery shop. In fact better quality cakes are also available at most grocery stores in the city. These are examples of chocolate cakes: German chocolate cake with butterscotch and caramel, chocolate caramel nut cake, triple chocolate fudge cake, peanut butter chocolate chip cake among others.

6. Books:

If you’re one of those that loves reading books, then you can get a couple of books that you have been wanting to read. There are lot of great books written by great authors that would educative you and keep you well informed about how the society really looks like. Some of these books are funny, entertaining and involve philosophy and views on society which definitely will appeal to a wide range of readers. Again most of these books are simple but wonderfully and beautifully written and they will keep you wanting to read more and more. If you’re passionate about a subject or certain topic, like World War, then try to find an interesting book with well documented information on that. Buying books depends greatly on what genres you are interested in. But I have in my list some non-fiction and fiction books which I would suggest you get.

7. A gift card to your favorite store:

Gift cards are some of the best thing to request for. If you’re still having difficulty deciding on what to get for your birthday, ask your loved ones if you could have a gift certificate to your favorite store. To some people getting them a gift card means that you didn't know what they wanted and so you get them some money. With gift cards you can go shopping and you don't have to pay for it and you can easily go and pick out what you want for yourself.

8. Video games for 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th 14th, 15th, 16th or 18th birthday:

You can also get a game from a genre that you like such as racing, adventure, or fighting. And the good thing about video games is that you can play them over and over again. Then when you have played them to your highest satisfaction you can take them to some game trade stores where you can trade for new game or for cash.

The information above will at least give you some ideas on what to get yourself on your birthday. There are still lot of them like jewelries, choosing your favorite restaurant and have a dinner with friends and families. I wish you all the best and good luck in your up coming birthday.
