Arts and Crafts Ideas for Girls Parties

Updated on March 23, 2016

Arts and Crafts Parties - Ideal Birthday Parties for Girls

An arts and crafts party can be the perfect birthday party for girls from around 6 yrs old into their early teens as the arts and crafts you pick can evolve to suit the age of the child.

There are many advantages to having an arts and crafts birthday party but 2 of the main ones are:

  • Numbers attending tend to be fewer due to the need to them being able to sit down around a table or on the floor to be able to do the craft in question.
  • They are great parties to be able to do yourself rather than have to get an entertainer in, or take all the children out to an activity.

The sheer number of crafts available means you'll never be short of ideas, and many crafts can be tailored to match the interests of the birthday girl, making it an even more special affair. In the unlikely event that you do find yourself short of ideas a quick search of the Internet should throw up some suggestions, or you could turn to some of the craft party kits that are also available on-line.

Lets have a look at a few of the options:

Cupcake Decorating Ideas

Kids Cupcake Decorating Parties

Great for girls with artistic flair, a cupcake decorating party is easy to arrange and great fun.

You'll need enough space for all the children to sit down at a table and you'll need a good supply of cupcakes, icing, sweets and sprinkles but after that it's their imaginations which take over.

It's a good idea to have a few ready decorated cakes to start with just in case any of the children aren't quite sure of what to do, and it can be good to start with a cake you all do together so they get the hang of it.

If you like the sound of it then here's more information on kids cupcake decorating parties

Jewellery Parties

Jewelry parties are great for girls as they get to make something they can wear, which means they're going to concentrate very hard on it.

Beads and findings are very easy to find these days, either online or in and hobby or craft store, but if you're not sure what you're looking for it's easy to buy them in kit form too.

It normally takes longer than you think it will to make items at jewelry parties, as you have all the choosing the beads to do, plus explaining everything to the girls. This means it's best to stick to one or maximum two items each i.e. a bracelet and a keyrink or a necklace and a hair clip.

Other Craft Party Ideas for Girls

Other Craft Party ideas you could consider are:

Face Painting Party - from fairies to butterflies your girls can let their creative side loose and paint designs on each other.

Tattoo Party ~ Temporary ones of course but great fun none the less.

Card Making Party - get them to make birthday cards, thank you card or just be creative

Make up Making Party- The ultimate girly party creating their own lip balms

Make Your Own Bag Party - Fun and practical - they get to make their own bag to take home.

Once you've got your party idea sorted there are still some other bits and pieces you'll need such as party bags.

These are just a few ideas, there are plenty more out there. Take inspiration from your child's interests and build these into your party, whether that is through the colours that you use, or they style of crafts you go for.

The important thing is that whatever style of arts and crafts party you decide to have, the girls are going to love it.

I certainly don't dreagise with you that there's a lot of frustration surrounding American politics in general coming from the global perspective. But when THAT is the focus of American distaste, there's a distinction between not liking Americans and not liking the American government. Those who are educated enough to know the difference are not the ones I'm worried about. But as a whole, we are lumped in together with people who seem to think the world is our playground, and these are the complaints I want to stop.Anyway, this post focuses more on Americans bashing Americans than anything else. So if I can do anything, it's to not end up as one of those.
