How to Enjoy the Holidays: Relax and be Happy

Updated on December 19, 2011

The most important thing is to be happy

Different people have different perception of what is to have a good time on holidays. It doesn't matter, there is no right or wrong, as long as you have a great time.

As I always mention in my articles, it is important to feel well with yourself and smile, be happy. Smiling attracts good things.

For me there are 3 types of Holidays.

1. - Family Time. - You can have a great time spending your holidays with your family. Most of the times family is the people we most like to spend time with, if that is your case then why not take more time to be with them? Usually I like to have this type of holidays at Christmas. I try to spend as much time as possible with my family and have a good time with them. tjose are moments that we never forget.

2. - Sightseeing - There are so many Beautiful places in the world that it is impossible to see everything. Some people actually try, I know some very travelled people and they have a great time exploring and discovering new places and new cultures. Visiting some Capitals for example can be a great opportunity to have a lovely time. Just don't try the impossible to see everything. Do what you can and take your time to appreciate what you do and see. If you are just running around like crazy just to have a picture of each place you end up not actually enjoying anything. The point of your holidays should always be to have fun.

3. - Relax and Enjoy - Yes, I'm talking mainly resort holidays. Some people loves them some people not so much. Of course this can be very expensive and not always you have the time of your life, of course that will also depend on your attitude in relation to it. If you are just looking for things to complaint about I'm sure you will find them and have an horrible time. Things sometimes go wrong and nobody is perfect, get over it. The reality is that staying in an hotel where you don't have to do anything apart of getting up to go eat and lay down on the beach is great. Only this year I have my first experience of this type of Holidays in the Dominican Republic and I loved it.

The reality is that in any of these holidays you can have fun and in any of them you can take some time to just relax and enjoy.

Life is beautiful and deserves our appreciation.
