First Elf Yourself, Now Santa Yourself

I admit it. My name is Lisa, and I'm an Elf Yourself addict. By October of this year, I was already needing a fix so badly that I was hanging out at the EY site and waiting for the countdown clock to tell me I could once again become a dancing elf. The day it opened, I was there, uploading photos of myself and my kids in each of the cards and watching the videos more times than I care to admit.

But as with any addiction, once I became hooked, I just wanted more and more. Elf Yourself was no longer enough to satisfy my addiction. So I started trolling the web to find new ways to entertain myself and my kids with a digital photo and a WiFi connection.

In my search for a new Christmas ecard fix, I found some great sites that let you Santa Yourself. Yes, my friends, if you enjoyed being dancing elves, you'll love being a dancing Santa. (After all, the elves are just the company employees. Santa is the Big Kahuna.)

So without further ado, here's some info to get you turned into Santa. But be careful - visiting these sites can be addicting.

Where to Santa Yourself

Santa Yourself at Dancing Santa has one dancing Santa ecard you can create for free. The URL of the site is, but the title actually says, "Santa Yourself." Simply upload a photo of yourself (or someone else) to become Santa, and your Santa will dance to the tune of "Jingle Bells" against a snowy blue background while one of the reindeer (Rudolph, presumably, because of the red nose) peeks out from the side of the card and shakes a bell. They provide an email link, but you'll need to copy and paste it into your email service to send it.

Santa Yourself at doesn't just offer Christmas ecards. They have a variety of fun animated cards, including a whole series of "You're the Star" ecards that allow you to upload a photo and become the center of attention. And they've got a great selection of animated Christmas cards that will allow you to Santa yourself. They have two cards that allow you to upload a photo of yourself and fly Santa's sleigh, one that will let you go golfing in Santa gear, another that gets you dancing on a rooftop, and yet another that allows you to dance with some rocking reindeer. You can even find out what it's like to be Santa getting chased by a dog. This site also makes it easy to share your creations by providing an email service and a link to post your video on Facebook.

Either one will provide plenty of fun as you Santa yourself and send your ecards to friends and family.

I would like to see a Santa Yourself WITH the elves so mom or dad can be the santa and the elves are the children in the family. This card would be really cute as the kids become of that age where Santa becomes in the heart. If anyone knows of one where the whole family can be uploaded and dancing let me know!
