Kelly Bells
My Bells
Kelly Lynn my lively child
so in a hurry to arrive
I shall never forget
that crazy Sunday drive
Enter the world
at 8 lbs, 2 oz
It's a girl
the doctor announces
The seventeenth day of April
will never be the same
You've marked that day
as your claim to fame
Ants, flowers, kittens
you adored them all
Something you didn't adore
I can't recall
Stand up comic you could be
just so darn funny
When you walk into a room
it's suddenly bright and sunny
Sparkling blue eyes
so quick to smile
I chased you so much
I must have logged miles
Teenage years
filled with drama
Yet through it all
still loved your mama
Fights with best friends
that made you cry
Patched them up
learned it's best to try
So much you've learned
about who you are
Don't ever just settle
my bright shining star
Young woman today
of twenty three years
You live with passion
showing so few fears
One birthday wish for my Bells
just won't do
But whatever you wish for
I hope will come true
Happy Birthday, Kelly Bells!
