My First Happy Easter Day Card
Handmade greetings cards can be fun by using simple ideas and remember to use all the left-over or unused construction papers, glue, ribbons and colorful markers always brighten up any plain cards without fail.
This is my first attempt in making Happy Easter Day Card and it was kind of fun and unique because it is not just an ordinary rectangle greeting card. I made my Easter card with a flower shape for the interior card while the front card is a half circle shape. I don't have to add too many crafts onto the front card as the space is small and limited. When I open up the card, the flower seems like blooming with bright colors that suites this happy occasion.
What To Write Inside the Easter Day Card
For finishing touches, just add the Easter quotes on the flowers or maybe you can write each word for each section divided on the flower. Words such as "JOY", "JESUS" "HAPPY EASTER" or whatever words that comes into your mind.
Sorry about the blur images as my Nokia N79 handphone memory card is full. I had to use my Samsung Z501 handphone which has very low pixel. Anyway, do send me your project when it is done. Hope that you will enjoy your handmade project. "Happy Easter !!"
Things You Need To Prepare
You need to prepare these :
- Glue- to paste the egg craft on the front card. Use white glue because it sticks firmly and dries up easily compare to normal school glue
- double-sided tape- to paste the ribbon
- pencil- to draw the egg craft and the flower petals
- a pair of scissors- to cut out the petals and flower
- penknife- to cut out the main card
Suggestions:
string of ribbon- an 8 inch ribbon string is sufficient to tie a bow for the front card. You could obtain free ribbons from your kids' old unwanted clothes. Recycle the ribbons into good use with handmade greeting cards. If you want to buy new ribbons, get those colorful ribbons that comes in a pack. Make sure that these ribbons are made from nylon or silk base.
Color construction papers- Remember to reuse construction papers which are left over from your previous project or your kid's art craft. I used blue paper for the egg, yellow and pink for the flower. It's up to you to mix-match the color uniquely for this Easter card.
If you are out of color papers, buy those Neon color papers. It brings out bright neon colors in your Easter cards
