Mother's Day ASCII Text Art
My Mother is almost exactly 20 years older than I am. It's been interesting going through life with her, always watching, seeing where I might be in another 20 years. My Grandmother was almost exactly 30 years difference in age from my Mother and 50 years in difference from my age. My Grandmother died from cancer years ago now so I've lost my perspective preview for the long range. I also lost my Grandmother and, of course, that was a greater loss.
From the time we are just children we watch our Mothers, more than any other adults we come in contact with. Our Mother's are there, telling us important things we need to know. As much as we watch them; our Mothers are watching us back.
Not everyone likes his or her Mother. Some have good reasons and some just have reasons. My Mother and I don't get along perfectly. But, it matters enough that we work on it. A relationship with your parents is not so different from a relationship with your spouse or siblings in that way. I guess you could say the same for any relationships you choose to keep. They are strong as long as you keep them that way. Makes a simple kind of sense.
This post is for Mother's Day ASCII art. But, you can send your Mother a simple note (with or without ASCII art) any time. I like to surprise my Mother with Spring flowers, before Mother's Day.
