Ingredients To Make Your Mummy Brie Appetizer

You won't need a lot of ingredients to make this Mummy brie, in fact, there are only 7 items and you will need some crackers for dipping! ... I told you it was an easy recipe! And look how cute it is... now imagine how tasty it is!

The ingredients to prepare this Mummy Brie Appetizer are:

  • 1 Thawed sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 Round brie
  • 1 Lg egg
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 Mini pepperoni slices
  • 2 Sliced black olives
  • Crackers/toast for dipping

Yummy Halloween Brie Appetizer

How spooky cute is this Mummy Brie going to look on your Halloween dinner table? This adorable and delicious mummy will add such a Halloweenie feeling to your your dinner party or appetizer table. It's delish, it's easy, and it is unusual, not to mention cute as can be, in other words, it's perfect for a holiday party on the 31st of October.

The best thing, other than how very cool this brie looks and tastes, is how simple and quick it is to make. Check out the directions:

  • Preheat your oven - 400 degrees
  • Cut your pre-rolled puff dough into 1" strips on a floured surface so it doesn't stick
  • Wrap your brie up in the strips like a mummy
  • Mix your egg and milk in a bowl and brush the pastry mummy with it
  • Add a piece of parchment paper to a baking sheet
  • Put the brie mummy onto the baking sheet and bake for about 25 minutes - or until the puff dough is golden brown.
  • Remove from oven, add two mini slices of pepperoni and two sliced olives for eyes
  • Serve with crackers

I love brie, it's one of my favorite cheeses. It is surprisingly easy to create a "fancy" appetizer with this "Queen of Cheeses", as it is sometimes called. It can be served wrapped in puff pastry as shown above and it's yummy. You can also serve it with a fig dip on the side to give it more of a dessert feel.
