Walking For peace

On Mother's Day thousands of mother's hit the streets of Boston, walking for peace in Neighborhood, that is Known for violence.

Each Year I participate because of Mother like me have loose a love one to a Violent.Early Sunday morning, I sat on the edge of my bed lacing up my sneakers, remembering mothers I had seen last year in the walk. This year there would be new faces, with tears in their eyes wondering why.

I remembers my first walk every step I took tears run from my eyes. Being a mother I was thinking about the things I would never see my son do, liking finishing school, going on to college, getting marriage and having children. A hand took mines and squeeze it tight, look around you honey you are not alone.

While walking on Sunday I met up with a women who had just loose her son a month ago, tears rolls down her face, as she wiped them away with the back of her hands. God I never thought I would have ever had to do this, my son was a good boy why God my son? With tears in my eyes I told her I knew how she was feeling because I had loose a son.

I will continue to take this walk hopping to bring peace by to our neighborhoods, like so many other mothers.

On Mother's Day each year I walk for peace in my city. So many young children have loosed their lives because of the growing epidemic of street violence. Jada67
