New Year...Panic or not?!?
You must admit that last New Year's were much more "with spirit", families were more together on that special day, and for sure there was more expectations than now. I remember one wonderful sentence of Edith Lovejoy Pierce ''We will open the book. It's pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called -Opportunity- and its first chapter in New Year's Day''.
It sounds true and I really wish to believe it but after years of hoping and waiting for new opportunities, somehow, i lost my interest to trust in changes.
I m not not trying to destroy best wishes of New Year. I'm just willing to share my thoughts and my feelings cause maybe I'm also one of the rare kind of people who would really say what they think about all of this New Years Panic.
Mostly, people are expecting to receive good things, to have better luck at work, health, to earn more money, to make important friendships...but how many of you think about giving happiness to other people, how many of you are aware of importance of your family and closest friends, of little people that are surrounding you and making your life complete. Are you aware how many people spent New Year alone cause they don't have families, or their families are not respecting them enough.
Do we really need New Year to change our bad behavior and to start our life on different way? Do we really need New Year to start being person and never to make same mistakes? Do we really need one night to push us to fight and to make resolutions to change aspects of ourselves that we believe are negative?
Think a bit deeply about New Year and don't wait for that night to be a person. Be good all year and I challenge you to just be yourself!
