Hundreds of thousands of people come to New York to celebrate New Years Eve. And there is no surprise here. The city offers a lot of entertainment for the most remarkable night of the year. Of course, most of the people descend upon Times Square to witness the famous ball drop atop One Times Square building. This annual Times Square celebration has been a tradition since 1907. And since then each year, over a million people gather around One Time Square Tower to wait for hours in the cold of New York winter for the ball lowering ceremony. The Times Square New Year's Eve celebration also features star-studded musical performances, balloons, pom-poms, confetti, and colorful pyrotechnic displays. If you want to be a part of the action you should plan to arrive no later than 3 pm to stake out a spot. There is a mini-celebration every hour in Times Square, as different countries ring in the New Year around the world. If you stay in a hotel in Times Square and lucky to have a room with a view of the square, you can experience New Years Eve in Times Square in a warm, more luxurious atmosphere of your room and still view the action. Some hotels in Times Square have restaurants and lounges with fantastic view of the square and offer special New Years Eve parties.

You are not a casual New Yorker but rather a great cheerleader for the lifestyle it affords. Thanks for your hard work and a great Hub.
