The Author, Donna Woods, is a guest poet who writes very heart warming and heart touching poetry about multiple genres. I am most pleased to present her love poem for this Christmas.

On This Christmas Day

The Christmas tree lights sparkle
I watch people laugh and cheer
But all I want for Christmas
Is to have you here

The days are long and empty
Since you went away
I miss you even more
On this cold Christmas day

It's not the same without you
Every Christmas comes and goes
But in my heart I miss you
More than anyone knows

The tinsel hangs around me
But I hardly notice it's there
My heart breaks every time
I look at your empty chair

So here is another Christmas
I'll do my best to make it through
But Christmas just isn't the same
Now I don't have you

Hi Debbie, Donna is not a hubber member. Have you read her poem Some Days about her autistic son Ben. It is here on my page also.

You can communicate with her via Facebook where she goes by her name Donna Woods. She is a fantastic writer who puts so much image and feeling into a natural flow of words. Merry Christmas Robeert
